    Ever Perform At Disneyland

Here is a good topic to start. Has anyone here ever performed at Disneyland?

I have performed at Disneyland once with the Long Beach Jr. Concert Band. It was a blast marching down Main Street and blowing everyone away with our "Thunder Drums" drum section.

I have also performed at Knotts with my other drum line, LBRSR, on many ocassions, which ended in a paying gig for a summer. Pretty cool.

So anyone else who might have marched or performed at Disneyland, please share with everyone.

I've had two opportunities to play in concert band performances, at the Carnation Plaza venue. Unfortunately, I've never gotten to march through Disneyland. That would be so awesome, parading down Main Street with my good old tenor drums...

That echo chamber on Main Street was absolutely awesome. The only negative about the Main Street march is that it went by too fast.

I performed at DL three times for "Magic Music Days". It was awesome every time.

One of the years we got to walk through a still under construction Toon Town. I will never forget that. It was so awesome.

My daughter and a group of girls from her cheerleading squad got to be in the parade a few years back, they got to don Tutus and help hold up the end of the parade and basically flutter around the end and help hold up the ending rope and got a cute participation pin.

I did when I was in high school. Some dance team type thing down the parade route! I don't recall getting too much attention from the guests, but there were these Japanese tour groups who thought we were pretty darn groovy!

My sister has played violin at the Carnation Plaza Gardens twice now. They visit once annually.

I'm curious to know what Disney's "incentive" is for giving these kids free admission to the park? Does having a middle school or high school orchestra or marching band perform cause a significent enough boost for attendance?

Really? When I went we got free admission. Of course this was '91, '92 and '93 so obviously things have changed.
