Thanks! I used a series of software filters on my computer to give it an aged look with grain, scratches and hairs and in the smaller image I even put a crease in the left corner (it's not in the 1280x1024).

SO many great desktops!! I'll be saving a bunch, mostly the DCA ones!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

The contrast in your shot of the Bountiful Valley Farmers stand looks great!

Plus, your Indiana Jones shots came out perfect. Did you use manual settings when grabbing those pictures during the ride? I've tried adjusting aperture, ISO speed, and shutter speed, but still have no success in grabbing on-ride photos.

Re: NEW! DaddyB's "Disneyland on your Desktop" Photo Update week of 10/17

Thanks for the kind words. We're having server 'issues' over on VF, so if the pictures aren't there, or if you just can't get to the site at all, try again later. (A good hint would be if the pictures in my first post aren't there, then we're having issues).

Generally speaking , the HALLOWEEN specific shots after my weekly update were not taken currently, but an accumulation of photos I've take over the years. In most cases, I've taken the raw file I shot back then and re-worked it for the photo update. I've progressed quite a bit in my software darkroom skills just over this past year and the photo's generally come out much better the second time around (IMO)

That having been said, I got some of the Indy interior shots about a month and a half ago (you can check my previous updates if you really want to knoe). I arrived early in the midweek and there was NO ONE and I mean extremely sparse peopleage at the park. I went on Indy 4 times in a row, and one time it was myself and one other person in the ride vehicle.

I noticed that they don't say "no flash photography" in the ride spiel, and since there were so few people around, I took the opportunity to grab a couple shots on each ride through. I even rode with a castmember "tour guide" person, and she didn't say anything when I snapped a picture of Indy with his back against the doors.

The snake pictures I took when that version of the snake was newly installed. The picture of the jeep on the bridge was taken one time when the ride broke down (right by the green snake that has been replaced) and I shot that picture of the ride vehicle across from us. We were sitting there for about 15 minutes so I got a good number of shots that time. Unfortunately they wouldn't allow me to take any more pictures as they walked us out of the ride. I would have loved to get a picture of that giant laser shooting head of Mara from below.

I rarely take photos with the flash in dark rides. I too find it rude and distracting, particularly when I'd LOVE to be snapping shots left and right myself. But when there's hardly anyone else around (like after closing), I might snap a couple. Sometimes I just get lucky with the lighting, aperture, ISO and the ride vehicle slowing or stopping for some reason, that I get a great shot without the flash (this happened recently in HMH).

again, thanks for the kind words. I probably spent 16 hours getting this past update together, and hearing which ones work for you, or spark memories of your previous trips really makes it worth the time.
