Re: my first extremely photo heavy thanksgiving/18th birthday 3 day trip report!! yay

day 3, 11-27, 2nd attempt: ok the first time i tried last friday, i took too long and was logged out, so now finding the free time and will most likely do this in either 2 to 3 parts, i shall try again!

    happy birthday to me!

it felt good to finally sleep in til 8:30

so the night before my mom wanted to make sure we were doing this whole birthday thing right, and the guy at city hall said it would be easier to go to the information desk at DCA, so we did, plus my brother wanted to ride california screamin' again, so on our way over towards california screamin we spotted something very rare...

    pool cleaner dude!!

so we get a fastpass to screamin and wanted to ride TSMM again. but when we got there, it had broken down although a lot of people were waiting for it to work, so we decided to wait to

(here's where i become smarter than the average tourist) everyone was waiting on one side closer to screamin, while i decided to wait where the line actually starts at. sure enough, 3 minutes later, the ride was open, and our family was like 8th in line hahahahahahahahahahahaa!!

HIGH SCORE!! i thought my dad would be a challenge, but he was no challenge muahahaha....actually i was more determined to win with him instead of my mom, so that's probably how i got the high score (i'm competitive)

we still had another 10 minutes til our fastpasses were ready, so we just sat.
    then this rolled by

i like the guy drumming, the drumming was awesome.

so my parents decided not to ride, so me and my brother got to ride it twice, and it was fun both time.

so after that there was only one more thing that i had to see, aladdin, the musical. my brother was not very enthusiastic about it (he doesn't appreciate music, unless it's on the billboard charts ) when ended up sitting on the middle deck (though i really didn't know there was a difference between the yellow and green and red) but we got the side seats that only have one row, so it was cool not having anyone in our way, or a baby crying behind us. and yes, the play was awesome!!i mean musical.

genie sure does know how to make people laugh.

decided to take that on the way out.

so we head back to disneyland, and the first thing we wanted to do was get a fastpass for space mountain. little did we know, the fastpass wouldn't be ready until 7, and it was 2 at the time. we got them anyway knwoing that we could get another in 2 hours.

my dad wanted to go on autopia, but i wasn't feeling it, but my mom made me go anyway while she sat down. boy that pedal was hard to push! and my brother's car kept stalling, and so did mine, which is funny because we were both in front of my dad and he just thought we kept letting go of the pedal.

i thought it'd be funny to text while driving, i was gonna call...ah man i should have called my mom..dangit. don't you hate it when you get epiphanies afterwards?? well yeah, texting is hard to do on autopia than it is on the actual road.

so all of our right legs were throbbing, and we met up with my mother. she was sitting in the tomorrowland terrace, and the jedi training academy just so happen to be going on

    they have been defeated!! hahahahahahaha!!

    mace windu's back of head!

    that look pretty awesome!

so we headed over to the other side of the park because i wanted to ride the jungle cruise, and the line was only 5 minutes! woohoo! so we get on. our skipper was hilarious! definitely the best one i've seen. actually he was so funny i wanted to ride it again. the second guy wasn't as funny. he seemed tired. but that was ok, he had some good jokes too.

so we wanted to get a fastpass for Indy, and it was almost time to get another fastpass, but we looked through the shop across the way as well as take a bathroom break. speaking of which, i need to take one now. so i'm just going to stop here, and post the next part when i get back.

Re: my first extremely photo heavy thanksgiving/18th birthday 3 day trip report!! yay

ok back! and i had some leftover gumbo from last night. it was gooooood. funny because i saw princess and the frog last night, and my mom made gumbo on the same day. funny coincidence.

    ok part 2!

well while we were waiting to get a fastpass, Indy had been broken down, so we couldn't get a fastpass even if we wanted to. then my brother being the clutz he is, spilled his drink (and luckily he's not here to defend himself )so my dad was making sure no one stepped in it, but again, service was slow and so it would have been easier to go get the paper towels ourselves from the bathroom than for a CM to get them and clean it up.

but when it was time to get a fastpass, Indy was open again! yay! so we got out fastpasses and finally we went to the ride that was on the top of my list! Winnie the Pooh!

yes i like Winnie the Pooh. it's my favorite cartoon character/show/movie/whatever since i born basically. so we went on that, and yes, i love that ride. i love all the bright colors, and the birthday party at the end. oh here's splash mountain from the view of the line (yeah i know, what line? hahaha...)

another picture of splash mountain on our way back.

so we're looking through the store and i noticed that we were going to be late for our reservation at goofy's kitchen. so we were casually fastwalking to the new orleans station to take the train to tomorrowland. but once we go to tomorrowland we realized, where's the monorail entrance??

FSNV screwed us all up and ended up having to ask a CM. man we were so confused. but in the end it was all good. although we didn't know where goofy's kitchen was either. go figure. but a hotel CM (are they called that or just employee?) was casually walking around and he lead the way, thank you!

we get there, not waiting very long, and yeah. we sat down, and characters were coming around and stuff. you know, usually goofy kitchen stuff.

dale wearing my brother's hat with my brother.

funny because i was listening around and parents were debating which one was chip and which one was dale. tsk tsk tsk.

cinderella! my favorite "old-fashioned" princess as i call her, aurora, and snow white

i was a happy birthday girl cinderella liked my cardigan, that also made me happy

    then goofy comes around

i also got a picture of goofy with my mom, but she doesn't like to be photographed often, so i shall respect her privacy.

so while i was in the bathroom, minnie came around. but that's ok, she wrote me a message.

luckily the tablecloth was made out of paper, so i kept the message. it's in my room right now on my nightstand. i should probably hang it though underneath my 50th anniversary gold minnie headband ears.

yeah. umm...man my cleverness has gone out the window or something. i only had one final today i shouldn't be that tired

can someone explain to me what's going on with my hair? cause none of us do! we've been looking at this picture and we still don't know what happened. also the family next to us were very sweet, i must mention them in my trip report.

i'm the only one that got a picture with aladdin

my birthday cupcake! good thing i like cupcakes way better than cake, so this is even more awesome. i bet you can't tell i already took a big bite out of it, and i ate chocolate chip mickey's right ear

ok well now i have a second interruption, my boyfriend's little brother has a choir concert tonight, and after hearing little kids trying to professionally sing a week ago, i need to hear a really good high school choir (top 10 concert choir in northern california, yeah that's right, we own.)

ok yeah, part 3 in like, 5 hours! no 4! yeah 4 hours most likely

Re: my first extremely photo heavy thanksgiving/18th birthday 3 day trip report!! yay

ok i'm back! and omg i'm so glad i graduated from that high school, my old choir teacher killed christmas! one song was called "christmas processional" no joke. no song that any of the choirs sang was cheerful in anyway. even joy to the world sounded depressing.

    ok part 3!

so after dinner, we were about ready to head back to the park when my dad saw his most favorite thing about the disneyland holiday...

it was like a twilight fan spotting robert pattison, but they were pretty cool.

so i was happy my dad got to see that, then we headed back to the monorail, and i noticed people were coming out of the back back back back of the monorail, so we asked the CM if we can sit there, and we did! the whole back back back back of the monorail to ourselves

yeah my brother's a dork. it says so on his mii (i made it for him )

so we're back in tomorrowland, our fastpasses were ready, and my parents again decided not to go, so we got to go on space mountain twice! that was also awesome. so remembering from micechat that star tours was going to be remodeled, i practically begged my parents that they had to go on it, and then i finally got them to go

yeah i know it's blurry, but it may be the last time i'll get to see C-3PO

the robot said,"what are you staring at? why don't you take a picture it'll last longer" i told him i already did

and finally the best part before the ride...

    crazy hair lady!!!

and we finally went on that, and yeah, it definitely had to be a great ride in its day.

so we head over to Indy, and i was all excited to ride that again.
we get in the jeep, it moves about 5 feet ahead, and stops. we don't really know what was going on. then the CM said we may be experiencing some technical difficulties. well at least we were standing. there wasn't much to do, so i decided to play a game. "i spy something brown." the whole loading area is brown so about 10 or 15 minutes being stuck in that one spot, we finally move ahead and ride the ride!

as we past the snakes, the music stops. right when it did, i asked "why did the music stop." and then we get stuck again. at first i was thinking "cool we got stuck!" i really can't think of a time when i got stuck on a ride.

the light at the end of the tunnel...

    yeah, that was behind us.

so we're waiting, getting a little bored, and my dad has been playing the "tap the other shoulder so the person would turn the wrong way." so i played that on him, then he tried to get back at me, and then hit his glasses and they fell off the jeep, on the side of the track. so that kinda sucked. and we couldn't get them. then 5 minutes after that we were off, and there goes his glasses

we get through the rats and then it was pitch black, and then we stopped. in the pitch black. it was scary. and also because it was night time too. after a while, a lightbulb went off in my head to turn on the lightbulb on my cell phone!! hooray! no more darkness! and we kept seeing a flashlight moving on the walls behind us, we kept thinking it was a CM coming to escort us, but nope. no one was there. and then 20 minutes later we finally got through the whole thing and got off safely.

so i think we were in there for an hour total. and we got those readmission tickets, and decided to use it on BTMRR.

after that we were getting tired and went through the shops because i hadn't spent my birthday fun card.

i got a snow white wishing well coin bank, because i needed a coin bank and the wishing well is the most magical place in the world, a snowglobe for my boyfriend, a pink lollipop, a pink all around sequined mickey ears, and a silver disneyland license plate frame for me car. and we sat in front of city hall, breathing it all in, getting as much of disneyland as well possibly can while our time is running out. and took a few last pictures.

oh i forgot a few pictures!!! man, way to have a dramatic ending.

when i took this picture, we were still deciding what ride to use the magical readmission ticket on

snow white thingy, seriously that well has magic!

oh the dreams of having a fancy camera....

ok nooooow i'm back on track

and then afterwards, my feet were feelings the affects of walking all day, and then i felt that i was an adult now, as i could barely walk to the shuttles, and the hotel room.

finally! i'm done! my trip report!! (insert dancing smiley here)

We went on July 4th for my son's 18th birthday. It was so much fun. We all got a I'm Celebrating pin and he got a Just Graduated pin and an It's my birthday pin. Everyone kept wishing him Happy Birthday. He and my youngest daughter got pulled into the Celebrate parade and he got to play the drum in the parade. Mickey gave him a thumbs up as if to say Happy Birthday. We only went for the day but he loved it there. We also went to Laguna Beach which was awesome too. He got to play basketball on the boaardwalk with a group of guys. All in all it was his favorite birthday and graduation gift he ever got.
