I think the platform has been raised up on its hydraulics. They have been doing some testing there past few nites. And the water is already as high as it can go in the lagoon, it's all the way to the top of the coffer dam that keeps the Fun Wheel base dry.
To paraphrase what everyone said:
The platform is currently in the maintenance level of a 3 level setup: maintenance, show, and inactive (I don't remember what this one is called but you get the idea). The platform is out of the water to allow final installation and adjustments to the fountains, projectors, and the platform itself. Once everything is fine and dandy the platform will be lowered to the inactive level where it'll stay until showtime when it get raised to show level. Once the show is over it'll go back down to dormant level. The only time we will ever see the platform the way it is now is when the show goes dark for maintenance.
Correct. The platform had the ability to be raised above the water like this so that they can easily perform maintenance (without divers). When everything is all finalized, they will lower it far beneath the waterline. When it's showtime, it will go up, but not as far as this. So during the day, you will not even see a hint of this platform.

Re: Will the DCA lagoon water level be raised?
if you have been to Vegas and saw Belligio water show. It will be exactly the same thing.
When the show premieres, during the day, you will not see the platform at all. Then at night, you still won't see the platform either just 1/4 of the fountain nozzles will stick out of the water at night.
Only when they want to fix something the entire black platform will be visible.
Is it me or dose part of the platform look like is up higher then the other side. If you look at the picture the left side looks like it up more then the right. Is that the way it's sopost to be or not.
