Re: What music is "Disneyland" to you?

My sister just bought that Sing-Along video at Disneyland, to relive the memories! All of those songs make me think of Disney, because they're classic, but I like Mad Tea Party too. I have that on my iPod and everytime I hear it, it takes me back.

Those Sing-a-long songs remind me of my first trip to Disneyland. I used to watch them over and over again before I went for the first time... ahhhh the memories

For me it's any song that you hear in a ride (especially the hard to find one songs that you usually can't buy....ie: music from the queues).
And certain Christmas Songs (like the one I'm listening to.... Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer).
I'm still trying to find the version w/ Tequila in it

Me too! Hearing "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah" in the playful version when you're walking up past the big green cones..through DTD..and to the main gate.

*sigh*..I always want to be in Disneyland. I think of it everyday.

I remember many years ago, a place called 'Organ Grinder Pizza' in Portland Oregon.

It was a rustic building with a huge pipe organ in it. This was the older reed-type of organ, nothing electronic about it. The keyboard was 3 or 4 levels, hundreds of keys. The sounds it made were like nothing I've ever heard!

They played all sorts of music that fit the theme of such a grand instrument. Once in a while, the Mickey Mouse theme song would be played, just sort stuck in between all the other songs. It was a great effect.

Every time I hear the Mickey Mouse song, it brings back very fond memories of long ago.

I remember going there as a kid, too! Such a unique place...

The Main Street music is what instantly transports me, particularly the song "Flitterin'" from the Disneyland soundtrack album.

Like Silly Spook, I still have my Disneyland Records of several attractions, soundtracks and the 1980 Official Album of Disneyland/Walt Disney World. I have this one LP by Camarata and several tracks can be heard in the Storybookland Canal Boats attraction. Still, I say the sounds of Baroque Hoedown, It's A Small World After All, etc bring the magic home.

Re: What music is "Disneyland" to you?

I said "Mad tea party" as to what music makes me think about Disneyland.

As far as my favorite Disney song it's "When you wish upon a Star" for sure with "Feed the Birds" following.
