I wish they would sell the wall maps again. This one is from 1964 and shows the Edison Square and Liberty Street which were never built. It labels Pirates and the Haunted Mansion as "future development." I had a later map which did picture the show buildings of Pirates and HM and labeled the areas of them even though it didn't illustrate the inside. I had my map basically memorized. I wish they would still make and sell these.

So with Space Mt. I'm assuming Liberty Square isn't going to happen.

-Al LutzTo that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.
In later years Edison Square and Liberty Street disappeared from the maps, for example here is a 1976 map:
That map also included the show buildings for HM and Pirates and named the areas of the show buildings. The high-resolution version can be downloaded from Vintage Disneyland Tickets: Bonus Weekend - Part 1
Some of the concepts from Edison Square, which was never built, were later used in the Carousel of Progress. A lengthy discussion of Liberty Street, which was also never built, can be found here: Jim Hill : Let's take a stroll down Liberty Street
I have a poster map from 1995, featuring the Indy attraction. I also have one of Tokyo Disneyland, but I really do not like its cartoon style, that is the only thing I have to complain about for that map. I wish they would go back to the old style for Disneyland.
The old maps were just so much more fun and interesting!
