Actually it's everyone in the boat shifting their butts forward to move the boat. Don't expect "The Pirate Shuffle" on American Bandstand anytime soon.

20 minutes? not buying it. Think about it, that waterfall is really close to the front end of the ride, that back up would cause the back up all the way to the loading area, everything would grind to a halt. I call shennanigans.

perhaps they should start loading boats by weight rather by number of people.

Rather than ask "how many are in your party?" they should ask "how heavy is your party?"

Well as my good friend, and I use that loosely...LOL, Aashee states, the pirate shuffle is quite a lot of fun. The Fluffly Club used to have a lot of fun with the pirate boats. A year ago last August, we got pretty stuck and they had to bring a few CM's to push us over the hill...the shuffle just didn't cut it.

Then there is the TIDAL Wave...this is accomplished at the little hill at the very end of the ride after you go "Back up the waterfall." Everyone leans forward at the same time...you try to get the water to go over the ledge. We've done it before....It's a hoot.

    That's terrible! Poor guy!

Well getting stuck on pirates is interesting as is getting sent to the left on Space Mountain because your rocket is too heavy.

Re: (briefly)stuck on the drop on pirates

This happened to the boat in front of us just this past saturday. A CM said on the loud speaker "please rock forward and back all together". It was strange but entertaining. Just like when the CM at Indiana Jones tells the person in the driver seat of the jeep to step on the gas.

That was a funny day. I remember almost getting stuck on the second hill too but the shuffle worked there.
