Disneyland Park or Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom?

As someone who has only been to WDW, I have to ask you DLers.....yes, since it became The Disneyland Resort...."Disneyland" became Disneyland Park, but back in the day quite a few signs and park maps said "Disneyland" and beneath that word was written: "Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom".

While in Florida it is The Magic Kingdom and within the Walt Disney World Resort.....with the California Adventure getting more Walt references in the coming years....shouldn't it just be Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney's California Adventure. The refined name of two parks within The Disneyland Resort?

I have no problem with it being called Disneyland or Disneyland Park.

The name is Disneyland, how can you change the name of one of the most succesful enterprises of all time? "Magic Kingdom" can be used to describe the type of park, or when refering to all of the parks around the world, and is simmilar to nicknames like Happiest Place on Earth. But you cannot change the name of DL, that would be heresy.

I like the Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom of Disneyland the best.

Disneyland Park and Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom is the same. The Magic Kingdom at WDW is also Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom in my book.

Magic Kingdom is Florida's park. If you change the name it will confuse everyone. Besides, you can call it whatever you want, it will always be Disneyland period end

To answer your question, no. Disneyland is Disneyland. The Magic Kingdom is the Magic Kingdom. They are to be kept as seperate.

I'd Prefer Disneyland. Its the original nameplus I have always called it Disneyland. Also, wouldn't it get confusing with Walt Disney's the Magic Kingdom? Been going there since I was 2... I wouln't want a name change.

I also feel there is something to say about the name Magic Kingdom. Considering 3 parks were built after the Magic Kingdom and yet none of them were named Magic Kingdom but instead Disneyland. Something has much more of a ring to Disneyland.

I agree.
And I think it should be Disneyland.
Not big on it being called Disney Parks.
Each park is unique, and I like that.
Same dream, but something unique about each one.
If they were all the same, what would be the point of traveling to any of the other ones?

Disneyland here .it has never been anything else but that now if your talking Disnyland resort Ill include DCA but...otherwise its just Disneyland

"DISNEYLAND" is the name of the place....
"Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom is what it is knowen as....(long before WDW)
along with the saying "Happiest Place on Earth"!
I for Disneyland and never change the name nor the logo....
I never like the logo change they did at WDW!
