Hi everyone!

Disney is planning to expand Park Hours starting on March 5th due to spring break, so expect large crowds from early March until late April.
Extended park hours means Disney is expecting larger than normal crowds!
OK, I should be good and not go Off Topic... But to VistaAl, great editing... Merry Christmas to your entire family, including the Jaguar Queen ;)
Mods, it IS Christmas Eve, give me a break..... I won't do it again... Well, I shouldn't lie, I won't do it that often!
thanks for posting this. We were planning on going Jan 14th, but because there could be a big crowd from the music convention, we'll just move it up a day!
Oh my gosh, the January 14th through the 18th period is expected to the Busiest Days of 2010... OK, it is like the "Lowest Prices of the Year" ads, it might get crazy later in the year... (Can we say World of Color starting late April). But really between the largest Convention of the year in Anaheim (NAMM Show) and a holiday weekend (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) be prepared!!!!
So happy to see a 2010 edition!
We're thinking about hitting the park on February 26th and 27th (Friday and Saturday), specifically for the Unofficial Homeschool Day. Does anyone have opinions on the attendance during those days in general? Additionally, does anyone have information on Unofficial Homeschool Day in terms of attendance; in other words, will it be a big turn out?
Thanks!
For the last couple years (but not this year), our family has visited DLR during early December and enjoyed relatively light crowds on the weekdays and moderately heavy crowds on the weekends. This year, for various reasons, we are taking our trip at the end of April and beginning of May, arriving late Wednesday night April 28 and staying until around dinnertime on Monday, May 3.
I realize the ROA and related attractions will be closed, and so no Fantasmic! for our trip this time. I also saw that the Orange County Boat Show is that weekend of 4/30-5/2. This is the first time I can recall the Boat Show being listed as a DLR-crowd-inducing event - it doesn't appear in Sehlinger's Unofficial Guide either - so I'm wondering if we'll still be able to look forward to not-so-crowded weekend days at that time, in addition to the off-peak weekdays. Any thoughts much appreciated!
I am not so sure, you have the return of Captain EO, the Disneyland Tickets specials, currently online, and soon to be a SoCal special.
Now, the Presidents Day weekend is early, which starts with a holiday for some, Lincoln's Birthday on February 12th (many state and local government employees get it off), Valentine's day on Sunday the 14th, and then President's day on Monday the 15th. Also the 12th is the RUMORED start of Captain EO.
Add to that, that some schools get a week off from Ski/Rodeo week, which could be either the week of the 15th, or the week of the 22nd.
And now some schools in Canada are moving their Spring/Winter Breaks around due to the Vancouver Olympics. (To be held February 12th through the 28th).
But due to all the things Disney is doing, including increased AP holders and I doubt you will any "dead" days in 2010.
One more thing, the Free Ticket for Volunteering. You can't sign up until January 1st, and then you need to do your day of service, and then wait for the attendance processing and Disney to send you an e-mail.
So that means those who have been looking to forward to the promotion will start hitting the parks in late January/early February.
I think your biggest issue will be the Premiere of World of Color, rumored to start April 23rd. (Still no official announcement).
Now, what impact will that have? My guess, lots of AP holders headed to DCA. Now, will folks have to wait all day for a place the Amphitheater, or will they offer ShowPass and let guests spend the day in the parks prior to queueing up a few hours before the show.
How busy do you think this monday will be? I know it will be busy but how badly???
Historically, the week after Christmas has always been a madhouse. But with all of the APs blocked out except for premiums, it might not be as bad as in years past. I don't want to hazard a guess as to how many non premium passes there are, but it could very well be 600,000 or more. I think you can count on good sized crowds, but they might not be enough to close the park due to capacity issues, i.e. not the worst crowds ever.
