    I do...in FantasyLand

After being in Disneyland for 6 days my wheels started turning and I had the idea that some where in fantasyland or right under the castle there should be a wedding chapel...just imagine a couple going to Disneyland for the day, they both get the bolt of love in them and they decide to get married at the "Happiest Place on Earth"......I so think this would be a BIG hit.....Who's with me?

I'm talking about like the ones in Vegas..you show up pay for a marriage certifcate and then have a changing room or something close to it..get hitched and them you are out the door the start not only your marriage but also your honeymoon footsteps away from Peter Pan or Tomarrow land

Thing is in California you have other legal hurdles to tackle, like blood tests and such. You'd be very hard pressed to get the legal documents same day like you can in Vegas.

    Fun idea, though!

I completely love this idea. There is a wedding place at the hotel but not actually in the park. You can have a reception on the side of the castle, I think, but not an actual wedding. To be married in the park itself would b e so cool but I imagine it would be mega expensive.

In January we are celebrating our 20th anniversary. I would love to renew our vows in the Happiuest place on earth. We went there for our 19th anniversary because it is also my hubby's birthday and he got in free. We went alone, without kids. It was a blast, yes I missed the kids but it was great to be with him. No idea what he has planned for this year. 20 years. Hard to believe.

    I like and I don't like.
If you go for the Vegas Idea
all i can think of is
"What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"
Do we really want it to be
"What happens at Disneyland, stays at Disneyland"?
Not saying D-land would be cheap about.
I'm sure they wouldn't charge much less than a full wedding ceremony (the grass area in front of the castle....anyone know how much that costs?)

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

Aww. A wedding chapel would be kinda cool. Ima get married in Disneyland one day, but since I don't want to pay thousands I will enter the park wearing a sundress or something like that and a few family members will be with me. I'll also bring my own priest and everything into the park and then we'll get married very quickly near the castle. It'll work, I promise! The trick is- get it done quickly ad quietly and all is well(:
...After a YEAR I finally was able to figure out my password again! I'm baaack! Woohoo!(:
    Disney is my life <3
Thank Walt for all he did! <3

I thought blood tests stopped being mandatory a long time ago. I know when I got marries in 1995 blood tests were not required then.

Anyway I wonder what Disney would have to do be a legal entity to issue marriage licenses.

What could work is if they require you to obtain your marriage license first. In Orange County this would be at the Old Orange County Courthouse in Santa Ana, which itself is a beautiful 100+ year old building. And then they could do a quick ceremony inside Disneyland somewhere. But basically this ia what they already do so I wouldn't expect it to be cheap.
