Am I the only one who finds the dolls staying on and the clock going off without sound kind of, you know, creepy? Just think about it.

Actually it would be. I don't know if it was here or on Youtube but someone got stuck in the ride without the noise/music. All the AA's were still on and you could only hear the 'Click, Click' as they blinked or moved...

^Personally, I find it absolutely fascinating. I'd love to turn Small World into a haunt one day, or do a Small World-themed haunt [I suppose that would be more likely ] And the reason I find it so interesting is because others, like yourself, are intimidated by it...it would work to my advantage...

Better yet. Have the haunt with a demented version of Small world playing, low volume so you can hear the AA's, and well placed Cast members in dark corners with something that makes the click noise. To make the illusion that the AA's are coming to get you.

    Aiee, I'm de-railing the thread! D:

I was watching a Podcast one day where the videographer was on SWHoliday, but the music was off. Your worst nightmare come true :O

As for the clock continuously going off, though seemingly ridiculous, it makes perfect sense. I would've never guessed HM or SM, though. And why is Pirates turned off?

That's not my nightmare, just the other some odd number of people who get skittish when the ride breaks down but the music doesn't. ;3

Point me to this Podcast though...

I'll have to find it in my archives when I get back into Los Angeles.

I do find it a little creepy to have dolls dancing and staring at you with no music i would think they are possessed or something.... :/

Re: Small World - The ride that never sleeps.

With Haunted Mansion I think the reasoning behind most of the rumors is either back in the older days it was such a pain to get everything working in sync that once you got it you didn't dare touch it so left it running with the sound off, or that it was more cost effective to leave them running than turn them off and risk them not working properly after being powered off and on.

Not sure how much an impact that plays these days but it's still done nonetheless.
