    Third Theme Park Ideas

I've been thinking about the Third Theme Park rumors that have been floating around people's heads for years now. And I think I have an idea for a Third Theme Park.

    Basically, I'm calling this Idea:

    PROJECT 55

Theme Park Name: Words of Adventure (Based on IOA)

    Lands Planned:

    World of Science:

Primarily Sponsored by the Discovery Channel, there will be several rides based on the Mythbusters series (don't worry, no explosions on all of them). This would bring to the U.S. the first Thrill Lift Coaster.

    I'll think of more later.

I'd love an EPCOT inspired 'World Showcase' like park.

Not to mention that would be an excellent Mythbusters ride idea!

    World of Adventure:

Okay, I need some help with this land idea. I'm stuck on wether or not it should have a:

    Chronicles of Narnia
    Prince of Persia
    Lord of the Rings

Theme to it so which would you think would work better?

    Another World

This would be based on Kingdom Hearts.

The World of Science does not sound magical at all. Sounds like a high rate theme park, not a Disney Park. Besides that, it's better. What is the overall theme?

I quite like Lord of the Rings, so more of that wouldn't put a damper on my spirit.

(offtopicness - I couldn't believe that disneyland sold swords AND that some of the swords were LotR swords...)

    Re: Third Theme Park Ideas

I think the most likely options are a scaled back version of DisneySea, a World Showcase type park-maybe Myths and Legends- or a Pixarland/Marvelland. That said, my pet idea has been DisneyAir-with the key advantage of large attraction showbuildings to act as a berm since the 3rd gate land is even more urban than the 'main' resort.

With a DisneySea, and then your DisneyAir, all we would need is a DisneyLand....oh wait.

I like the concept, but disney doesn't own the rights to LOTR's, or Mythbusters. Granted, they could acquire them, I don't see it happening. I'd like to see either a scaled back TDS, WestCOT, or the rumored American Adventures.

    Re: Third Theme Park Ideas

I wish they still had the rights to use 20th century fox properties. I know Disney had it for several years and had based the original Alien encounter on the "Alien" movie". Of course they eventually used the characters in the movie ride. They also had other ideas for some of the other properties owned by 20th century fox.

with that said, i would love a third park that is based on lots of fantasy worlds.

If Disney could work once again with James Cameron and get in bed with him for the rights of Avatar i think that an attraction based on that movie might be an amazing setting. This same park could have a land that could use the Marvel properties along with other interesting lans that only live in peoples imaginations.

    Disney's Myths and Legends park

a westcot might be interesting but the size of the land would really limit what can be done.

I don't like the idea of the American Adventure only because that park was pretty much built already. Most of DCA was the exact same concept as the American adventure. the only diferences where minor theme changes so that it would fit the california theme better but Condor flats, grizzley and Paradise Pier were concepts form American Adventure

Ah that's a good point. I'd like to see a park that, by the same name (American Adventures) is totally an american park. With the Edison Street that was supposed to be by Main Street, a 50's era, the pioneer era, etc, but mesh all of it together. Not like DCA @ all. But they really need to come up with something. But for now, we can wait. in the next 20-30 years, I can see another park, but not for a great while.
