When Tony Baxter talked about make an AA Dash from the Incredibles in the Abe Lincoln presentation I started imagining where they could use the figure. Maybe an Incredible's 4D show? Not super futuristic, but a great move to work from.

This thread is just a big head-desk moment for me...
A) Tony Baxter (ever heard of him?) won't allow it
B) I doubt TDA would allow it!
C) 101 Dalmations and a collage of Disney Movies have nothing to do with any franchise in decades. How would that appeal to them?
D) There has been but one valid rumor about this: Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. In my opinion, it still doesn't fit Tomorrowland, but enough to sell tickets with Pixar drawing huge crowds, and it is already a tried-and-true show at WDW. It has also been discussed by Al Lutz, who we all know as an incredibly reliable source.
Here we go again (I should make this my signature)...
"Que?" is Spanish for "What?" and a "Queue" is a line you stand in to board an attraction.![]()
Really though!
Since the "Magic Eye" theater made it's debut in 1986 .. 3D films have become very common place in every-day life. Just check the local listings for Orange County alone. Surrounding Anaheim are several megaplexes in just a 10 mile radius of the DLR.
3D films .. please go away.
Waste of time .. waste of space .. waste of money.
Develop something you can't get anywhere else.
Isn't that what the Disneyland experience suppose to be?
Sorry but both of those ideas are horrible- no Imagineer would think of those first for a tomorrowland 3D film
Yeah I hate to say it but I wouldn't be thinking about what's coming after EO because that's years away.
Now I'm getting "what?! Years!!?"
Yep, expect EO to run for at least two years. The popularity of the attraction wont die down before then nor will Disney be able to come up with a "new" 3D film. If EO closes in less than that time.. well then expect Monster's Laugh Factory or Philarmagic... neither of which fit our tomorrowland.
Personally I agree with those who feel the magic eye theater is outdated for tomorrowland. If they want to do 3D movies in other lands, sure, but repurpose that space.
If they DO do an E-ticket where Innoventions is, they should swallow up Red Rockets in the process and move the restaurant to where the theater currently resides maybe put some of the overflow dining in the Starcade once that's finally announced closed.
I actually think these could do quite well in Tomorrowland. One element that is absent in Tomorrowland which has been missing for a long time is a happy positive outlook towards a great big beautiful tomorrow. Without attractions pointing toward this optimistic future Tomorrowland is simply an anachronism with no meaning or purpose. The modern day is just as "futuristic" as anything in Tomorrowland.
I am reminded of America Sings. As a show it had no place in Tomorrowland at all. But it was presented in a futuristic theatre. And you left feeling happy and positive. In that regard, this show belonged there. Somehow it fit.
If America Sings was good for Tomorrowland, I don't see why the animated classics wouldn't be.
I wish they'd create a new Utopian future outlook movie, modernized, of course, and put it in there. If they had to associate a Disney/Pixar character with the ride, do Wall-E. Have it start out in a trashed-out world before we rocket off to the Axiom where we see the technologically advanced future. That way we get both an environmental message and a fun little ride. I'm just kinda bugged with how little tomorrow there is in Tomorrowland.
The 2 most plausible ideas I've seen mentioned so far on this thread are a Tron-themed or Wall-E themed 3-D movie, as well as Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor (though I'm really hoping that one doesn't come to pass.)
I'm skeptical about Tron only because we're already GETTING a feature-length 3-D TRON in theaters this winter, though I think
I think Wall-E (despite being more PIXARification of the parks) has the best potential: an easily-recognizable and entertaining main character, with the potential for a lot of easy 3-D gags. Plus, you could easily work in a theme of WALL-E and other robots working to make the future even better and brighter.
May I also suggest a never-gonna-happen idea? An animatronic theater show, in the vein of Country Bears/America Sings--I think at one point they'd planned one called "Plectu's Intergalactic Musical Revue" or something. Unfortunately, I think Disney's moving away from those kinds of attractions.
The company the built the electronics and infrastructure to Mission Space went out off business a few years ago. In order to create a new Mission Space Disney would have to either tap into it's limited supply of replacement parts or develop new ride system- both of which are unfavorable
I'm for getting rid of the 3D theater from Tomorrowland and replacing it with something else. As for movies ... I think Disney has plenty of movies in the vault that would fit the theme, 101 Dalmatians isn't one of them.
This is such a fake rumor.
#1, the Dalmatians one just makes zero sense. It sounds like a stupider idea than Superstar Limo. I highly doubt Lasseter and Baxter would just let that get produced.
#2, the second one IS Philarmagic. Not exactly, but nearly the same concept. Why would they spend money making one similar when they could barely spend at all and clone the old one?
I think these girls either have big imaginations or their uncle is telling them bedtime stories to appease them. And when MILF gets installed, the uncle will lie, "Aww, I guess the Dalmatians didn't make it, girls"...
