    Blue Bayou

okay, my friend just made reservations for this saurtday at Blue Bayou. I have never eaten there before and i was just wondering what everyone would recommend.

I am eating during the lunch hours so please just give some suggestions on what is good and ill probably make my decision on what seems to be popular.

    Thanks

I don't know if the lunch menu is different from dinner, but the short ribs are delicious.

My GF took me there for my birthday lunch on the 2nd. I had the Monte Cristo, she had the salmon and both were absolutely fantastic.

The Monte Cristo, if you don't like those, which I don't actually (ducks the barrage of "why"s and "you call yourself a Disney lover"s hurled his way), I'd recommend very highly the Tesoro Island Chicken with a bowl of Gumbo.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

The Blue Bayou will always hold a special place in my heart, for it is where my husband asked me to marry him.

We like to ask for a table near the water. They always say its going to be a longer wait, but we've never really ended up waiting that long at all.

Here's a Menu for Lunch and Dinner that I found Updated 11/2009 Like what's been said, the Monte Cristo is great, along with a Flying Dutchman Cookie Boat for dessert.

I also recommend the short ribs! The times I have eaten them I have not been able to finish the meal.

Well, I'm not a fan of the Blue Bayou so avoid the Jambalaya, LOTS of rice and not enough anything else, however the the gumbo soup is awesome. and you can't go wrong with the ribs and Monte Cristo, it just that the place it's so dang expensive for what you get, atmosphere or not.

    No question.

Le Speciale de Monte Cristo! Completely! Get it or you'll regret it! It's the best dish Disney's ever dished up. Ever. And I've been about everywhere at WDW, too.

I was there shortly before Christmas and both the Creme Brulee Trio and the Flying Dutchman Cookie Boat were no longer offered on the menu.
