    rockin california screamin full time?

The first time was when they had the red hot chili peppers playing. and it was AWESOME. i didnt like it as much on space mountain, but it was perfect for screamin. Every time i go back, i wish it were the same, and its not. I'm not even that big of a fan of the red hot chili peppers, it was just awesome riding that ride with the rock music turned up.

So ive been thinking, california has PLENTY of famous bands that started out right here. no doubt, metallica, the beach boys, the go gos, the offspring, sublime, nofx, weezer, and plenty plenty more. Wouldn't it be awesome if california screamin showcased california grown bands and played them, and switched it up every day, week, month, etc.

I think this would be alot of fun, while sticking with the california theme.

    your thoughts?

No. Flat out no. We don't need to go out and ruin the theme even more so.

I completely agree with you! I don't like Screamin' that much, but it was waaaaay better when they had The Red Hot Chili Peppers playing- it was a PERFECT song choice and fit the ways of the ride very well. My friend and I loved it so much more when it was Rockin' California Screamin' and I wish they would bring it back. I thought it was cool on Space Mountain too, but I don't think it would work yearround- it would get annoying since it takes away from the space theme so much. But yeah, for Screamin' I definitely wouldn't mind having it back!

They should do it where you can choose your own track like the new coaster at Universal Studios Florida.

A roler coaster in a 1920's boardwalk that is clearly a steel type coaster disguised as a wooden roller coaster with a Launch. Yeah, go figure.

LMAO that's funny. I really wish they'd get rid of the current music. It bugs me...it's so....CARNY....I like the idea of having SoCal Bands on the ride, and it's a really good attempt to intertwine the SoCal lifestyle with Disney, but I wouldn't want it all the time. As long as they get a better generic ride soundtrack, I'm good. Then they can periodically bring in bands for a short run on the coaster, then sell the soundtrack, people can download it, and listen to it that way if they prefer! I usually take my iPod on Screamin', and Space Mountain, and put on tracks I like. I need to find an editing software so I can trim all the songs just right for the rides. If anyone wants the list of songs, I'll be happy to let you know! (note: there is NO Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, or Justin Beiber on this playlist. )

No thanks. That sounds like an awful idea. Disney wants us to be transported into another time, so everything in that area should make you feel like you've been transported to that time period. If they had rock music on the ride, that would just take you right back out into reality where Disney doesn't want you to be while you're on that ride.

Oh I am sorry. So I guess instead of improving the current awful theme, we should just continue the bad theme that we have right now. You are totally right.....

well it doesn't have to be a rock song per se then, but I can see how having background music would make the ride even more awesome.

Did they do the most stellar job in the world themeing Screamin'? Nope. Not by a long shot. Does that mean they should just give up and throw whatever in there? Absolutely not. Rock music on Screain' is a bad bad bad idea. What little theme there is would be totally destroyed by that. You may not like the current music, but it is written to sound like carrousel music yet still be high paced and more adrenaline sounding. I for one think the music fits the coaster very well, and while it certainly doesn't look like woody from up close, it does from a distance.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Really? Maybe that is why there already is music on the ride?

    *shocker*
