    Redwood Creek Phase Two

As one of the prime areas for development in Phase Two (hoping it happens) I was wondering what some ideas for future development are?

^^ Really? Thats interesting, where did you hear that? Seems like it could be a simulator attraction, but I'm not sure if it would fit the theme.

    Country Bears would be perfect!

It has been reported that there will be
a family based attraction built where
    the Redwood Creek attraction
    currently resides.

As far as what the attraction
will be and what it will be
based on, it is not yet known.

Sorry I wasn't very clear but I was really wondering what people's ideas were for the area not just what's been rumored.

I think they need to put a family friendly major attraction there since both Soarin' and GRR don't allow or can be too much for small kids. I think a logging or mine train ride that went through the whole area and included some new nature scenes and some indoor caverns could be cool. I don't know how difficult it would to do, but I think that they could make it pass over GRR in a few places without too many structural problems if they were smart about the layout.

I also have thought that it would be cool to move MM there and completely build it into a rock formation and give it mine cart cars. In fact I think it might be possible to include both ideas and have the train pass thru the new MM mountain and have a peek into the indoor portion of the MM ride. The top back and forth section could be at the top of the mountain partially exposed and have some kind of scary gags at each bend, maybe one you pass a bear that takes a swing at you, one bend you go around a waterfall, and one you go by a bunch of big rock spikes with one of the cars split over the spike. Then the rest of the ride would be inside the mountain, and in there they could add a bunch of other mining equipment and mine cars going in different directions just to create kind of a wild enviroment with things moving all around you as you zip through the hills to the end of the ride. I think they could take that simple little coaster and make it into something pretty cool.

I know I'm going to sound like a broken record, but I'm still dying to see a Bambi dark ride get constructed. I think the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail area could be a prime location for it. All of the critters in Bambi are from California (deer, skunks, owls, rabbits, etc.). It would fit right in.

    ...Joe...

After thought: This dark ride would be like Alice In Wonderland in that it would travel inside and outside.

Whatever it is there will be a pretty good chunk of space to use there.

    Not a bad idea Joe.

This area could be California Adventures's re-interpretation
    of Critter Country.

i actually like that place, i really wouldn't want to see it go away, but i guess some things do need to change (not the animation building) to grow and prosper. but i ain't gonna go in there if there is an UP thing. i'm just a strange person. i don't like UP. i know. i'm not a big fan of Wall-e either

I like these ideas quite a bit. Great job, "Uncle Bob!"
