Which ride has the most potential with a refurb...?

So there are a lot of great rides here at dland. I like to think that most of them are pretty well kept up, but there are a few that are in dire need of a refurb. Gadgets Go-Go Coaster was one, along with the RoA. I would also throw in Star Tours (but hey that is on the way) and Inovations.

But there is one that stands out in my mind, that has more potential than any of these, and yet, lays there, chugging along, with no refurb in sight...

I'm talking about Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin (RRCS). This is by far my favorite ride in the entire park, and has been since it opened. Now I may be a little byist as it is one of my favorite films of all time (and yes I can say that, as I know movies lol), but the ride itself is one of the best in the park. It was really one of the first rides to encorporate the black light (which is now played out as it is in every drak ride), it was also one of the first rides where the que was just as interesting as the ride.

The cars is another thing to talk about and does not need to be mentioned as the ride vehicles make the ride all the better.

Yet with as much promise as this ride has, it lays there, no real attention paid to it. I try and ride it everytime I go, and I am more and more disapointed in it everytime. I look around as I walk through the que and find gum on the walls, the paint is starting to fade, and it just looks unkempt...

I think with a good refurb, this ride has the potential to be one of the best in the park...

    What do you guys think?

i personally think that the matterhorn needs a refurb. like really a whole new track, better AA (aka Harold) cause it's a good ride and all, but the technology need to be improved.

but it may seem hard cause of the historical significance of it.

I think Storybookland could stand to be updated again. Aladdin is a great film, but it doesn't need three displays dominating the entire middle portion of the ride. I'd like to see the addition of things like:

The Beast's castle with the "poor provincial town" nearby
    The statuary garden from Hercules
Cathedral de Notre Dame with the square decorated for the Feast of Fools
Mulan's home village with her family's house and the Matchmaker's house
A giant beanstalk coiling up to an artificial cloud layer attached to the cliffside (referencing Mickey and the Beanstalk)
More to Disneyland than meets the eye? You don't know the half of it...
    Knights of the Magic Kingdom

Matterhorn or Indy stand to gain the must from getting a refurb. Both rides are great but new technology would make them even better rides.

Autopia, they should switch to solar powered cars and focus the queue on new technology with vehicles, put some plaques along the catwalks to read about solar power, battery power, hydrogen fuel cells and other fuel alternatives. Also include plaques that mention exciting new developments in car technology.
    Yaye!

If I'm not mistaken they did have electric cars when it first reopened but people missed the nostalgia of the engine and also the upkeep of them was too expensive so they brought back the gas versions

Didn't Matterhorn get a brand new track system a few years ago?

Haunted Mansion- just look at Walt Disney World's. It's crazy!

Also, the classic FLand dark rides.

I agree with the OP that RRCS needs a refurb along with the rest of toontown, but dont look for it until the sequel to roger rabbit is underway and close to release

Matterhorn and Autopia have the most to gain from a refurb.

    Autopia.

Save my more extreme ideas for a referb, why can't it have a fast lane, and a slow lane? That would get people through quicker and everything.

I've never heard that, but I do know that solar powered vehicles, are less expensive in the upkeep then petrol, and you also have to factor in not only the cost, and upkeep, but the environmental factors. They are far more efficient and better for the earth, even if the expense was greater on maintenance, it is a smart move for marketing to become more enviro friendly in this day and age. That alone would gain more support and possibly draw interest to the attraction. Also, putting in plaques with information and quick facts give people something to read as they are standing in queue even if it is educational!
    Yaye!
