The Forbidden Eye and the Disneyland Ghost Town 1/26/2010

I went to DLR yesterday to check on my application. I'm still good until the end of Feb. I was told to reapply if I don't get a call from now until the end of Feb. So after a little trip to the Casting Center, I went to DL.

I took advantage of the rain to enjoy a lot of rides that I normally wouldn't do on a weekend.

I brought an umbrella after I went on Indy and made my way to Pixie Hollow, which was still open. No line for Pixie Hollow at all!

It was just Tink and Terence I saw both times. The other Fairy, I assumed left for the day.

I then headed to Space Mountain to find that it was only 5 minutes! . Then I headed to BLAB and Star Tours. BLAB had no line and Star Tours had no line either!

    My Row

    My Gate

Part 2 coming up! There will be no slideshow part this time because I didn't take a lot of pictures. Oh, and vote on my fun poll!

Whoops! I made a mistake again in the title! I accidently put the date as the 16th not the 26th. Can a Mod please change the title so that the date is correct?

    Part II- Star Wars Characters

So after Star Tours, I went to Tomorrowland Terrace to get a rare photo-op with the Jedi Training Academy Characters.

Needless to say, I got arrested by Stormtroopers as orderd by Darth Vader.

Well, at least they let me off. I then went to the Jedi where we had a brief conversation.

    Then last came Darth Maul

    Part 3- Final Character Run

I went to Mickeys house after a while. This is Frontierland on the way to Toontown.

The wait in the House was short. The line in the Mickey Cartoon Trailer Screen was less than 5 minutes.

I got Mickey in his Sorcerors outfit.

Then went to PH for the final round. Normally I wait until 5PM to get in, but there was no point since the line was non-existant. Chatted with a PH CM who remembered me from Saturday at PFF. Then went in.

Me, TInk and Terence had a quick conversation.

Then I did the craziest thing ever. Autopia, in the rain, all by myself! No line or anyone riding Autopia when I went in. Then the Opera House for a bit. Then started my Fantasyland Marathon which will be covered in the final part.

    Riding Marathon- Final Part

So I started my ride run in the Westside. It began with Big Thunder. I then noticed that they turned on a bright floodlight in ROA. I wonder if we'll be seeing this a lot during the refurb months.

Then went to Fantasyland to experince the rides. Pinochio, Snow White and Mr. Toad had NO LINE! Even Peter Pan had a 10 minute wait!

Then went to Storybookland. And how was the line? Well.......

Really blurry shot from the ride.

Then went to HM. No line either.

    Final ROA Refurb Shot

Last Hour, I spent riding IJA over and over again.

Adventureland 10 minutes before park closing.

    Rides ridden:

    Indiana Jones Adventure- 7 times
    Pinochio- 1 time
    Snow White- 1 time
    Peter Pan- 1 time
    Mr. Toad- 1 time
    Space Mountain- 1 time
    Star Tours- 1 time
    Autopia- 1 time
    Buzz Lightyear- 1 time
    Storybookland- 1 time
    Big Thunder- 1 time
    Haunted Mansion- 1 time

    Matterhorn
    THE END

Oh, theres something I forgot to mention.

I witnessed, probably the stupidest of all guest stupiditiy.

I was leaving the park and I arrived at the parking structer to get to my sisters car. When I got there the Tram CM told everyone to exit to the driver's LEFT hand side. This guest exited to her RIGHT and nearly got hit by the other tram heading to DTD. The CM yelled at her 3 times on the intercom that he said LEFT not RIGHT. The Tram leaving even honked at her.

    Honestly, how pathetic is that?!

That's a shame with the person getting off on the wrong side. If she didn't speak the language, she could at least follow the cues of everyone else on the tram. If everyone is going left, why would she go right? Oh well.

I absolutely love Disneyland in the rain. If it weren't for the long drive and my mom thinking it dangerous, I would go all the time. The park is beautiful and the lines are very short. It's perfect and I'm glad you had a great time.

Good luck with your application! I really hope you get the job! I can't wait to see you working on IJA.
