How do you think the Little Mermaid ride will compare

How do you think the Little Mermaid ride will compare to the one they're building after in WDW? Do you think it will be better? Worse? Share your opinions!

I think it will be equally as good or better. WDW will have a budget because of how much they're expanding the Fantasyland area. I think the one at DCA might get a little bit of a larger budget. Overall, I think they'll both be great in different ways.

As far as I know if the rumored cutbacks that Al Lutz reported for WDW's Fantasyland expansion are false, they should be very similar with the exception of the facade. If the cutbacks are true. I do believe DCA's will be far superior.

Re: How do you think the Little Mermaid ride will compare

Interior-wise they seem to be relatively the same and the dimentions of the show area appear to be the same so I anticipate seeing only slight differences if any in the two. However with that said, if it came down to the exterior facade of the attraction then I would go with WDW as it actually depicts an area found in the movie. The DCA version seems to fit the theme of the park rather than the attraction which may be good considering the big picture, but to me that takes away from the experience a bit.

I imagine the rides will be identical. I hope that neither of them skimp out when it comes to the facade & queue.

I imagine that DCA's will have a much more subdued, Paradise Pier facade, while the Magic Kingdom's will have a much more fantasy-oriented facade.

It's like comparing the two Soarin' Over Californias: one has a facade oriented around its environment of Condor Flats, while the other is just trying to be inconspicuous around the rest of The Land.

WDW is going to go all cheap on it. I have confidence in TDA compared to TDO.

I think they will both be identical in terms of layout and design. Other than that, the exteriors and preshows will probably be different, but I think they will be good in their own unique ways.

I hope the ride will be fabulous. I want to see a lot of animatronics not projection screens like Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.

Well I do hope kind of pettily that our's (DCA's) is better just because I despise the cloning and how we had to shoulder all the design costs (correct me if I'm wrong) and now they're just stepping in and cherry picking, but frankly WDW's makes more sense for the land it's in and the exterior seems far superior. (Theme-wise architecturally ours blows theirs out of the water).

Re: How do you think the Little Mermaid ride will compare

It's hard to tell at this point. I think MK has a lot more room to work with for their attraction. Also, I like the MK facade quite a lot, but the one here at DCA is very classy and will fit into the atmosphere. Each ride is going to be good in their own separate ways, I think.

Shoot, I care about your opinion, as I am sure plenty of others do. Don't be afraid to express it.
