Disney's California Food and Wine Festival - April 16 to May 31, 2010

Disneyland Resort's Food and Wine Festival 2010
    "The Art of Flavor"
    California Adventure - April 16 to May 31, 2010

Details on our favorite time of the year, Disney's Food and Wine festival, have finally been posted. We couldn't be happier to see that they have found a way to keep this festival going, even during massive construction at California Adventure. (The photos in this discussion are from previous MiceChat trips to the Food and Wine Festival in 2007, 2008, and 2009)

This year's event features 46 days of two of our most favorite things: Eating and drinking
As with past versions of this festival, we will find cooking demonstrations, seminars, tastings, wine and beer walks, artisans and other shopping, and special events such as the signature "Taste" event. Much of this year's festival will take place in the Hollywood Studios Backlot in the former Hollywood and Dine building.

Heads up! Tickets to the most popular events listed below become available on
February 16, 2010. Mark this date on your calendar and be prepared to buy tickets to your favorite events as early as possible. Check Disney's Food and Wine web site for more details: Disney's California Food & Wine Festival

    Festival Highlights
Wine, Beer and Spirits Education and Tasting Seminars

Educational seminars led by noted winemakers, master brewers, distillers and Disneyland Resort sommeliers.
(Wristbands are available for purchase in the queue before each seminar for $1.00, cash only, while supplies last. - we advise arriving at least 30 minutes prior to tastings and earlier for highly popular events).

    "Taste of California" Marketplace

Special festival foods (tapas-sized tastings) and wine and beer pairings are available in the Festival Showplace.

    "Hollywood & Wine" Lounge
Wine flights and a selection of wines by the glass

    Festival Gift Shop
Festival merchandise and logo items available for purchase.

    The "Wine Seller"
Did you find a wine you love at the festival? You'll be able to buy one of the hundreds of wines featured at the festival at the "Wine Seller." (Bottle purchases will be delivered to Package Pickup located outside the entrance to Disney's California Adventure Park so you can continue to enjoy the park without lugging around heavy glass bottles.)

    Junior Chef
"Hands-on" culinary experience designed for children 11 and under.

    Culinary Demonstrations
Chefs from Disneyland Resort, Downtown Disney, as well as noted and celebrity chefs will prepare tasty meals before your eyes, provide tips, and perhaps provide you with a sample of their efforts.

    EVENTS -
Advanced reservations are required for all of the following events. Tickets will become available February 16, 2010. I cannot wait I hope that chef Jaime Gwen is there, I love seeing her every year. I hope to make a real trip out of this event, we always just kind of pop in, I hope to actually enjoy everything going on and taste some wine.

    Attention MiceChatters,

If we were to plan a little event, would you want to do:

    A) Sunday meet to visit the festival, sample the food, and drink some wine
    B) Attend a "Sweet Sunday" event
    C) Attend the "Taste" event

Let us know your thoughts and whatever else you are excited about the festival.

    Aww shucks.

I notice there are no Wine Receptions listed. I hope that's just an oversight, those are my favorite events.

I agree, the lack of any wine receptions makes me .

I'm hoping they are still working on the logistics of this.

Most likely because of all the work being done at the Golden Vine Winery/Trattoria complex.
