Question If "Robin Hood" Were To Get An Attraction...

If "Robin Hood" were to get an attraction at Disneyland which "land" would it best be suited in?

    • Critter Country
    • Fantasyland

    Just curious, that's all.

If a Robin Hood attraction were to be built, I would place it in Fantasyland. CC is supposed to represent the Deep South. Pooh does change the theme of the land a little, but Robin Hood would bring it too far. So I am for Fantasyland.

BTW I wouldn't really want a Robin Hood attraction because there are so many better movies that aren't represented like Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, etc.

With Roger Miller, Phil Harris, Andy Devine, Pat Buttram, and George Lindsey, Robin Hood fits a lot better than Pooh.

I love Robin Hood. I would love to see him and Maid Marion walking the park.

Robin Hood was a favorite of mine, but I wouldn't want to see it as an attraction here in Disneyland. It doesn't really fit anywhere thematically with the park.

Are we talkin' Kevin Coster Animatronics? Or do you mean the animated Robin Hood?

You can catch at least Robin sometimes at WDW, along with the Sheriff & Tuck.

If it were made i would want to see it in Critter Country... However a lot of other movies should be looked at first for a dark ride instead of Robin Hood. Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and The Beast

Cool Re: If "Robin Hood" Were To Get An Attraction...

I have never seen the movie, nor do I really have an intention to see the movie. So, I voted no. There are just so many more movies that have been so much more popular than this one.

    Robin hood would be keen!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Robin Hood is too underrated. Everytime my boyfriend and I ask a kid do they like Robin Hood they don't know what we are talking about. That movie, Fox and the Hound, and Oliver and Company. >=[

Re: If "Robin Hood" Were To Get An Attraction...

I voted for "I wouldn't want one," but if there were one, it would go better in Fantasyland than Critter Country. The climax of the film involves a raid on Nottingham Castle, for goodness sake!

Tony Baxter has explained why you wouldn't get a very good dark ride out of Robin Hood: the entire film is character-driven, with no scenes that invite you to sit back and be wowed by the setting. There is no equivalent to the flight to Neverland or the tour of Pleasure Island or the night in the scary dark forest that have translated so well into immersive scenes on Peter Pan's Flight, Pinocchio's Daring Journey, and Snow White's Scary Adventures.
