That building looks weird. No windows, too many lights unevenly placed. Looks just odd!

Honestly, I would rather it be another store than look like that.

I want a shot farther back to see how the whole thing lies. I assume too that they intend to hang something there or break up the blank space.

Looks like temporary walls to me. I imagine something will be put there before too long.

I hope you're right, it definitely looks like the side of a temporary building. There are not enough attraction posters in the world to make that building less ugly.

After secondary examination, where it meets the floor it seems temporary, the lights are the same as the ones on temporary walls and the door also seems temporary. We will see.

I think the area should be used for the PhotoPass processing.

If you really examine the picture, you can see that it seems like some more "high-quality" (if you will) temporary walls were fit underneath the original roof, and added the temporary lights to it. It seems like they stuffed a work all underneath the roof, and made it look perminant.

Those walls are definitely not temporary. If you saw a few weeks ago as they were closing up the counters with that wall, you can see it was actually a wall going in, from the frame to drywall to what you see now. It is very odd why they have it like that. Why would you need two lights for each bench?? Hopefully they are not done and something will go on the wall to make it more interesting.

I was really thinking they may make a match of the little kiosk store on the opposite side. Or at least open a new store and then close the old one down to redo that one. That little store's roof now looks old and a bit out of place with it just being flat with the name up there.

I thought the same thing when i saw it.

I would have prefered a framed mural of the park map that could be changed every so many years when a major addition is added instead of benches and all those unevenly placed lamps.

Another thing that would have worked better would be a small planter maybe a couple feet deep with some medium size hedges and a couple small topiary trees.

Not sure what they were thinking when they decided to add blank walls with benches and lighting that seems awkwardly placed

    We've got an opening date:

    Captain EO Tribute
Details: Captain EO is scheduled to return to Tomorrowland's Magic Eye Theater for a limited engagement.
Project Status: Rumored for a late September 2009 opening, the project was said to be delayed until January 2010, and the officially announced by Disney on December 18, with a February 2010 opening. "Honey" closed January 4 to begin the reinstallation of Captain EO. On February 19, MiceAge's Al Lutz reported a Tuesday, February 23 reopening date, which was later confirmed on the DisneyParks Blog.
    Open Date: February 23, 2010

    From the DisneyParks Blog:
Official Reopening Date Set for ‘Captain EO’ Featuring Michael Jackson
Since we first announced the return of “Captain EO” on the Disney Parks Blog, there has been an incredible response from fans, and we’ve received many enthusiastic emails and phone calls asking exactly when the classic “Captain EO” attraction featuring Michael Jackson will reopen.

Today, we are excited to give you an update on the Captain’s return!
On Tuesday, February 23, as a tribute to the magic, music and messages of “Captain EO,” the 3-D musical adventure is returning to the Tomorrowland theater in which it debuted. While it’s not possible to replicate some special effects elements from the original presentation, it will boast a new 70mm print of the film, and it will sound better than ever thanks to acoustic enhancements made to the theater since the film last played there in 1997.

So, I take it the lasers will not be making a return then? Or what about the lights in general that reflect all over like when they crashed and the warning lights were going off. They had that spinning old school cop light in yellow effect going around the room.
