an upgraded Matterhorn could be potentially quite awesome for next year

What kinda upgrades could really be done though? Better disgusing of a few walls? A better lifthill snowstorm effect? I dunno why but I doubt they'd do RoA style updates as much as they could try to do more of that new projection technology that was used in Snow White.

I am just glad to hear the Matterhorn's exterior and interior will be refurbished (although to what extent we shall find out). It looks a little on the paper-mache side right now. But even then, I'll be excited to see what they do with the Carnation Cafe/ Plaza Pavilion as well as the other refurbishments that are sweeping through the park. Always great news to hear they are taking excellent care of the park.

They could add animatronic Mountain Goats to the top of the matter horn or be like ROA and use the plastic fake ones.

I would love to see them add projection effects when you are going up the lift hill that show a yeti off in the distance hiding behind a snow drift! If they could create more build up to when you see the yeti like they do with Expedition Everest that would be sweet! I would love if they enclosed the queue more so that you couldn't watch the autopia cars whizzing past while you wait. It would be way cool if they could put in a more elaborately themed queue like Expedition Everest too (but considering how quickly the line moves would it really be necessary?)! No matter what they do, however, I will always miss the two seater bobsleds that made this my favorite ride.

Looks like Disneylandfan95 and I caught the same Soundsational yesterday - and it seems that we live in the same city

here are a couple images from the 4:00 parade with Mickey out in front -

I kind of like him closer to the audience... I was going to watch the 6:30 parade, but a HippopotoMaiTai was calling my name.

    Enjoy!

^ haha thanks for the pictures! I went back today and during the 6:30 show, Mickey was back on top playing the drums and Minnie was back in his spot. Must have just been a one time thing.

I'm also pleased to report that tonight's 10:30 Fantasmic! was the best I had ever seen. Every single aspect of the show was in perfect working order, everything was timed beautifully, and the projections seemed clearer to me? Anyway, big props to Disney for doing such a great job with this show. On the way out, I heard many people saying that it was the highlight of their trip and the admission is worth it just for the show.

So I know that Al reported about the Bakery, but I also heard some other rumors along with the Bakery moving and Carnation Cafe expanding. Supposedly the ice cream shop will also close and be reconfigured to better handle flow of customers. I dont know the details of how thats supposed to be done, but just that it's supposed to "expand" from the current configuration.

Also heard that the current counter in Coke Corner is supposed be moved a little further out to allow more workspace behind the counter. Something about some work being done in the basement area too. Is it true that there is basement space under Main Street? I've not heard that before.

Last piece I heard is that these closures are happening in January. I'd be interested to know what anyone else has heard.

Well Al got Mary Poppins right. Remember, we all saw the blue prints with the title only a while ago "Jolly Holiday Bakery". But according to Twitter, he got the Halloween WoC wrong, and he only got half of the 4th of July WoC right, it is a pre-show, not complete replacement
    Trips coming up:

    May 22-26th
    July 13th-18th
    November 19th-25th

I used to work with a really great helicopter pilot and he landed in some really remote and delicate places to put a helicopter down. What I was wondering is why was the chopper was trucked in in the first place, and not just flown there.

I heard that too, but remember that Al is sometimes right. 50/50 is why your here, that chance is the chance that some of these thing might occur. Yes sometimes its a 60/40, others its like 1/99. But i do like the sound of a better way to help crowds in the ice cream place. It has such a bad crowd control when the park closes. I think that nobody would want ice cream at 12:30 at night and then i come across an hour wait for a cheap scoop of chocolate ice cream!

I really hope that the Matterhorn can get the realistic paint job that newer mountains (Everest, Carsland, Grizzly Peak). It would go a long way to help this older and original mountain look more real.
