I believe they mean this: Arcade - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary
Which 1 and 2 are more what they are talking about.
Re: Disneyland Resort Project Tracker II
Would this passageway be between Main Street and Tomorrowland where Liberty Street was originally planned to be?
Re: Disneyland Resort Project Tracker II
That would be my guess as there is no room between Jungle Cruise and Main Street other than the small backstage passageway.
Re: Disneyland Resort Project Tracker II
This arcade sounds very interesting... what type of games would they put in there to fit the theme of Main Street?
Also I hope Fantasmic gets updates. Maybe not the actual show, but the tech behind the show. Add a little excitement to the show... Other than the huge dragon of course :)

I am pretty sure it won't be a video arcade. It will most likely be a covered walkway with entrances to the Main Street shops. It will probably be themed to Main Street (I hope), otherwise it would be a little awkward.

To bad all the room once slated for Liberty Street is gone or they would have another good reason to just stick that in! I also wonder how they justified the bypassing of all those shops to the DL execs. Think it will only be open during rushes?

Well then where would this be located? To the side of Main Street on the Tomorrowland side?
Re: Disneyland Resort Project Tracker II
^Tommorowland Side apperently.

Ah, but what we could have had if they hadn't cut the budgets.

As I understand it, it will be very much like the arcade at Disneyland Paris. A themed passage that has access to the shops. It can be used all the time and can be very useful during parades, other crowded situations and inclement weather.
Re: Disneyland Resort Project Tracker II
I'm really happy about this arcade idea, it's something I've thought they should do for a long time. I hope it happens, I think the idea has been floating around since the '70's.
Re: Disneyland Resort Project Tracker II
Even a passageway from Main Street to Tomorrowland would be awesome. If you walk through Tokyo Disneyland's World Bazaar, they have two different sub streets. One leads to Adventureland while the other leads to Tomorrowland. It helps the traffic flow tremendously.
Re: Disneyland Resort Project Tracker II
So this would be a covered arcade correct? If so, I'd love to see a canopy similar to Tokyo Disneyland's World Bazaar.
Re: Disneyland Resort Project Tracker II
I still think a full blown side street parallel to Main would be cool. :)
The way stock prices run the parks, they could call it Wall street! [/sarcasm]
