You are correct. There are jumping fish in the Big Thunder Trail pond. I saw them just last weekend.

There was also a single jumping fish in the ROA by the fishing boy, as you stated. It has been working for a while and the last time I was on the Mark Twain I did see it, but couldn't get a good picture.

Hopefully it is coming back after the refurb, as I don't see any reason why it would be taken out.

Oh thank you! I was so confused, is that space really big enough for a ride? Also, I just had a thought, in 2005 I saw a live fish in the ROA get eaten by a duck, so when they drained the river what happened to the fish?

^ Well there aren't usually fish in the ROA. I don't know what happened in your incident?

Ok, that's weird, I have a photo, the bird was gulping down a little silvery guy! I wonder how that fish got in there then. That is really weird!!

Ignore the date on the photo, apparently I don't know how to set that on my old camera and I gave up and left it like that lol!!

    Yaye!

Nope that is definitely a fish!

How odd. Maybe the duck brought it over from the koi pond on Big Thunder Trail.

Again, that is weird because fish are not supposed to be in the ROA.

When my brother and I were younger we were throwing bread into ROA and swarms of them attacked the bread. So exciting as a little kid.

Does any one know more specifically when the ROA will be reopened? I'm going May 5th - 10th and wondering what is definitely open or closed, from what I gather it's sometime in may.
    Yaye!

    According to MousePlanet:

Rivers of America closed through May 6 for major refurbishment. This also closes all attractions requiring use of the river: Sailing Ship Columbia, Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island and Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes, Mark Twain Riverboat (closed until May 14), as well as the Fantasmic! nighttime show (closed until May 27).

I found out yesterday that part of the refurb of Rivers of America is that they are dividing the river into the 4 main rivers...Rio Grande, Columbia, Mississippi & Potomac Rivers..I am talking about the lands around the rivers will be themed to a particular river...
