I don't even think it has been officially announced yet... someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I just hope that if they do go ahead with a tinkerbell ride that it is nothing like the figure eight outdoor ride that WDW is getting if their second phase fantasyland expansion continues.

although i don't think a tinker bell attraction is the best idea before a Beauty and the beast attraction i think a similar concept as the winnie the pooh in tokyo might work nice. the trackless system would be an interesting way of exploring the fairy world

Wonderful work Disney! Oh how I just love how you disapprove of good ideas but promote the bad ones (Finding Nemo...)

Something 9 years over do. Oh well, better later then never. Disney management just seems a little bit slow in realizing the obvious (like the original DCA was a bad idea)

i am actually glad that the Nemo attraction was approved. Not so much because of the Nemo theme but because the other suggestion was that the lagoon have the same fate as the one in WDW. I think that even if the attraction is not something that i ride on every trip the movement of the subs and the nice work they did on the rockwork and waterfalls win me over. A new concrete building there or just a large meet and greet would not have been the best choice for the area

Agreed. Better to have a wierd themed sub ride than to have something that would've made MC even more angrier.

Although the space did seem to have potential for a new Tomorrowland E-Ticket attraction.

I agree that a new large attraction would have been nice but just like that whole eastern side of the park, no one wants to commit to invest money on doing something about the spaghetti monorail track and old peoplemover track. As long as that section of monorail track and peoplemover track exist it will be impossible to get any decent size attraction in that large area of Disneyland.

the sub lagoon is split in half by the overhead monorail tracks and the main showbuilding is under the autopia tracks.

I have always really think they should remove the inside loops of the monorail track and just leave the large ouside loop in place. There are areas of the track where the modification could be done to eleminate the center portion with minimal cost. the people mover track that runs over the area should also be eliminated. that along would open up a huge piece of prime real estate for development.

The autopia track could easily be reconfigured so that it went back to the old ltomorrowland layout that used to exist. The fantasyland section eliminated after all DCA is getting a whole land themed to cars.

now if they feel the need to have the autopia track long then why not do a hybrid attraction that allows guests to drive the first section of the track using the old tomorrowland layout. Once that portion of th track has been ridden the cars would go up a ramp that allows the track to gain some elevation the balance of the attraction could be a self propelled ride through tomorrowland using the old flat peoplemover tracks that run all over the land. The cars could be redesigned so that they have a diferent look to them and the overhead tracks could get minor modifications so that guests can not get out of the cars.

tomorrowland would gain a new peoplemover style attraction through the area but with individual cars that also give kids the fascination of driving.

I am quite aware. I was merely stating that the west side gets more use and has long been considered for a themed "arcade" with a series of facades. Due
to the nature of the area, there can be no roof here.

That's disappointing, I would have liked to see a roof.

There still might be a roof if it's built on the Tomorrowland side.

I suggested the idea of running a more futuristic Autopia car along the old peoplemover tracks on my Tommorowland post and armchair entry. I think it would be cool if you could even continue driving the whole way through just as you do now. You could eliminate all of the existing track in favour of the elevated peoplemover track and still have a fantastic ride, that will remain futuristic for decades. It will be a long time before we drive cars on elevated roads.

The arcade they are considering will be on the east side and will have a roof. The west side being discussed is just where they have exited guests in the past, but has never seriously been considered as a permanent arcade.
