MAIN STREET, U.S.A.
Worlds of Wonder parade Details: A new parade in time for the 55th Anniversary celebration.
Project Status: Previously expected to debut for Disneyland's 55th Anniversary in 2010, the parade was put on indefinite hold and "Celebrate! A Street Party" continues to be the main parade offering for Disneyland. On July 30, 2010
Disney announced Mickey's Soundsational Parade, further pushing the Disneyland-themed parade to the back burner.

Main Street Arcade Details: Inside sources report a new themed arcade is being considered for the east side of Main Street, USA. The themed indoor throughfare would help ease crowd flow when overflow crowds are exiting the park during peak seasons and following fireworks and parade performances.

Mickey's Soundsational Parade
Details: A new traditional-style parade celebrating beloved melodies from classic Disney films.
Project Status: Officially opened May 27, 2011 following a special preview day on May 26. A media preview day was held June 2, 2001.
The Disney Parks Blog
announced the new parade on July 30, 2010 along with concept art. On February 25, 2011, Disney
officially announced the new parade would debut May 27, 2011.

ADVENTURELAND
Aladdin's Oasis theatre Details: Theatre went dark following conclusion of Indiana Jones Summer of Hidden Mysteries show.
Project Status: Theatre closed September 2, 2008.

NEW ORLEANS SQUARE
Haunted Mansion enhancements Details: Rumors have circulated about the return of the legendary Hat Box Ghost in the Haunted Mansion's attic for years, and in early 2009
Disney began dropping hints that the long-rumored return could happen for the attraction's 40th Anniversary in August 2009.
Al Lutz reported on 8/25/09 that the Hat Box Ghost would return following the 2009 Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay. Additional enhancements could include lighting, audio, and general show upgrades as well as possible show scene upgrades in the Portrait Gallery, Limbo (loading platform), further attic enhancements, and interactive Hitchhiking Ghosts. As of early 2010, no changes have been made to the attraction.

One-of-a-Kind Shop Details: Inside sources say that a new version of New Orleans Square's One-of-a-Kind Shop is under consideration.

Jewel of Orleans replacement
Details: Jewel of Orleans is scheduled to close April 15, 2010. A new shop will take its place.
Project Status: Jewel of Orleans closed April 15 and reopened May 29 as a Disney-run high-end accessories shop.

FRONTIERLAND & CRITTER COUNTRY
Fantasmic! enhancements Details: Signifiant enhancements for Fantasmic!, including new scenes, were reportedly under consideration to help the show compete with the new "World of Color" show at Disney's California Adventure.

Open Date: Unknown.
River Belle Terrace replacement/expansion Details: Long-rumored River Belle Terrace expansion would provide two-level dining and upstairs priority seating for Fantasmic! performances.

New Frontierland E-Ticket attractions Details: Plans to add new E-Ticket attractions include using the space currently occupied by the Festival Arena and backstage's Circle D Ranch, according to
Al Lutz's 1/5 column.
Project Status: John Lasseter took a tour of potential expansion sites prior to the 2009 holiday season. No timetable is yet known on the opening of the new attractions if plans are approved.

Major Rivers of America refurbishment and enhancements
Details: Major Rivers of America refurb, resulting in a hiatus for Fantasmic! and a closed Tom Sawyer Island, Sailing Ship Columbia, and Mark Twain Riverboat. Inside sources are now reporting that River enhancements previously expected to be installed during the refurbishment have been cut from the budget.
Project Status: Completed. River drained and closed during winter and spring 2010 and refurbishment continued through mid-May.
Open Date: River reopened with some enhancements weekend of May 8.

FANTASYLAND & MICKEY'S TOON TOWN
Tinker Bell dark ride Details: Al Lutz reported in his 8/25/09 column that a Tinker Bell and Her Fairy Friends dark ride would utilize the long-unused Motorboat Cruise area "early in the next decade."
Project Status: In development.
Open Date: After 2010.
Tangled meet-and-greet
Details: Gepetto's Sweet Shoppe closed after roughly three months of business to make way for a new meet-and-greet featuring Rapunzel and Flynn, the lead characters in Disney's animated film 'Tangled.'
Project Status: Opened October 15, 2010.

Wishing Star Crystals shop replacement
Details: The long-closed Gepetto's Holiday Workshop merchandise location re-opened as Wishing Star Magic Crystals on August 30, 2008, but closed in January 2009 when the Magic Crystals vendor left the Disneyland Resort. There has been no official information regarding a possible replacement for the store location, or if it will just close and become storage space as it had previously been prior to opening as a crystal store.
Project Status: Store closed. Shop reopened as "Candy Shoppe" (also referred to as "Geppetto's Sweet Shoppe") on May 26.

TOMORROWLAND
New Tomorrowland E-Ticket attractions Details: Plans to add new E-Ticket attractions include reutilizing the Carousel Theater, currently occupied by Innoventions and space currently used for backstage purposes, according to
Al Lutz's 1/5 column.
Project Status: John Lasseter took a tour of potential expansion sites prior to the 2009 holiday season. No timetable is yet known on the opening of the new attractions if plans are approved.

Tomorrowland repaving Details: Areas in front of Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster will be walled off for repaving. Alternate entrances for attractions will be provided.
Project Status: In progress. Began September 2. Most major areas of the main Tomorrowland walkway have been repaved, but additional areas are continuing to be repaved at various times.
Completion Date: Unknown when full project will be complete.
Peoplemover 2 Details: Long-rumored revival of classic Tomorrowland attraction.

New show for Magic Eye Theater Details: "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience!" is now closed while Captain EO returns for a limited engagement. It is unknown if Honey will return following Captain EO's run.

Star Tours—The Adventures Continue
Details: Long-rumored, and long-delayed update of Star Tours attraction will feature multiple destinations, new special effects and will be presented in digital 3D.
Project Status: Officially opened June 3, 2011 following Cast Previews, Annual Passholder previews, and soft openings in mid-late May 2011. Attraction closed July 26, 2010 for Re-Imagineering. On February 25, 2011,
Disney officially announced the attraction would open June 3, 2011.
Open Date: Officially opened June 3, 2011 following soft openings, and Cast and Passholder previews in mid/late May. Annual Passholder previews
announced for May 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 31 and June 1.
Captain EO Tribute
Details: Captain EO is scheduled to return to Tomorrowland's Magic Eye Theater for a limited engagement.
Project Status: Completed.
Rumored for a late September 2009 opening, the project was said to be delayed until January 2010, and the
officially announced by Disney on December 18, with a February 2010 opening. "Honey" closed January 4 to begin the reinstallation of Captain EO. On February 19, MiceAge's Al Lutz reported a Tuesday, February 23 reopening date, which was later confirmed on the
DisneyParks Blog.

HOTELS, DOWNTOWN DISNEY AND MISCELLANEOUS
Disneyland Hotel Renovation Details: Long-anticipated renovation of the Disneyland Hotel will include a tower-by-tower, multi-phase renovation in which each hotel tower will be completely gutted and remodeled. New rooms will feature fiber-optic Sleeping Beauty Castle headboards, wireless internet, flatscreen TVs, and multiple energy-efficient upgrades. For more information on the hotel room remodeling,
click here. Disney has also
announced plans for a complete redesign of the Neverland Pool area, including the addition of a new water play area with Monorail-themed water slides. The pool area expansion will include the
removal of the classic waterfalls and koi ponds.
Project Status: In progress. Remodeling began on the Dreams tower August 24, 2009.
New Tangaroa Terrace and Trader Sam's Bar
to open spring 2011, with a new Monorail water slide pool and redesigned Neverland Pool to open late 2011.
Completion Date: 2012
Strawberry Field Parking Lot Details: A new 2,570-space parking lot is planned for the former strawberry field on Harbor Blvd., the place Disney previously had set aside for a third Disneyland Resort theme park. The lot would be in use for a minimum of six years, with the option of an extension to 10 years,
according to The Orange County Register.
Project Status: The parking lot proposal will go before the Anaheim Planning Commission on
Monday, August 17, 2009. If the plan is approved, construction would begin within the next six months.
Completion Date: Likely 2010.
Two new Disney Hotels at the Anaheim Garden Walk Details: Two new Disney-managed Hotels will be built at the Anaheim Garden Walk. From David "Darkbeer" Michael's
3/27 MiceAge column: Owned by Prospera Hotels, the two hotels will be managed and operated by Disney, and will feature Disney names, and use Disney employees. A 4-Star/upscale Hotel will be at the corner of Disney Way and Clementine, and a more "family" hotel will be on the south lot, next to the Cheesecake Factory.

New Resort parking structure Details: A new guest parking structure to be located on the current Pumbaa lot across the street from the Anaheim Garden Walk.
Project Status: Construction rumored to begin in 2009.
Completion Date: 2011/2012.
New Disneyland Resort Stroller Rental Center
Details: A new, centrally-located stroller rental shop in the Main Entrance Plaza will replace the current stroller-rental locations in the theme parks. Both in-park stroller rental locations will remain open during construction, but will eventually close upon completion of the new main location. The California Adventure location will be re-purposed for other uses when that park's Sunshine Plaza area is made over into Buena Vista Street.
Project Status: In progress. Began August 11, 2009.
Completion Date: February 2010
