    Mermaid Ride Shell?

    What would you prefer? for your shell to fly (like Peter Pan) or flow (like Buzz and Mansion)

    I like it to fly because it adds to the effect and makes everything fun and unique.

    Don't get me wrong, flying is cool, but I really like the efficiency of the Omnimover system.

    From what I can gather from the show scenes is that they are better passed at a higher speed than an omnimover and better experienced with the flying shell/ less people.

    Just my opinion based on numerous pieces of concept art and ride throughs.

    I'd rather like the flying, but it would make loading time slow.

    I personally would not mind a the ride vehicle to be like that of Peter Pan's, but from the artwork and such about this ride it seems they are going with an omnimover system. Which makes sense as it would be the most efficient at high numbers of guests per hour.

    I think this ride should be a walk thru. not a ride.

    Not necessarily. A new system could be WAY more efficient than the old Peter Pan. With a belt type load similar to the Omnimover load, the loading time could be quite similar.

    Why? A walk though does not draw huge crowds, a ride does.

    The loading time could be better than peter pan but it would not be similar to the omnimover because the cars would be spread out while the omnimover are all close together

    In the video it shows 2 strings on top. So I am hoping they go with that because I love the feeling of it.

    The distance between vehicles only affects the number of guests actually on the ride at one time. It's the vehicle capacity and load time that determines overall ride capacity (THRC I believe).

    if they did have it fly. The drops should be like the swinging cars in the Fun Wheel. Now that's a Thrill ride.

    we better get really wet in this ride. and be longer than 4:17

    Its not suppose to be a thrill ride! That is not what DCA needs! DCA needs a ride that has no height limit and the entire family can enjoy!

    Re: Mermaid Ride Shell?

    I'd love to see a modern take on an aerial ride vehicle like Peter Pan- so that is why I chose it.

    But my ultimate desire would for it to the best of both worlds- aerial omnimover. (;
