I heard this rumor floating around on these boards somewhere. Just wondering
1)Is it true?
2) What show they are planning on putting in?
3) Your thoughts on this.
Personally, I am not very happy. I loved the Aladdin show to death, being one of my favorite Disney movies. I just hope that if it does get replaced, the next show will be just as spectacular. And I am a pretty harsh critic, as I have seen plenty of musicals in my days.

Its true, it is getting replaced by Toy Story: the Musical. I absolutely hate the idea, with a passion. Disney does not have the guts to come up with something original and does not feature Pixar at all.
Oh now this makes me mad! Don't get me wrong, I love me some Toy Story..but I was really hoping it would be replaced with Snow White, or Beauty and the Beast...but Toy Story? Really?

Sure they do. But their guests want more Toy Story. They want more Pixar.
If there wasn't a market for this stuff, they wouldn't be making a Toy Story 3.
Guest demand takes precedence over everything else.

Yeah, Snow White would be a great idea, especially since Hollywoodland may tie in with the 1920s Buena Vista Street theme. Since Snow White was Walt's first full length color animated movie, it'd be perfect for hollywoodland.
People want and expect Broadway Style productions in the Hyperion theater, not lower quality character style shows. Just look at the success that Blast! had, and the success that Aladdin brings in. Those are high quality productions.
A short Toy Story show would certainly be more appropriate in the Fantastland theater, but would be insulting, if shown in the Hyperion.
Quite frankly, I don't want to see ANY additional sort of Toy Story entertainment at all. DL and DCA are already on a severe overdose of those characters, to the point that I'm beginning to hate the entire franchise. (Just as Tinkerbell overdose we've all suffered over the past couple of years.) Disney needs to keep and expand the variety of entertainment, NOT to place Toy Story in every single place at the DLR.
I agree with you here! Toy Story would definately fit the Fantasyland theme. But I dont think it will work in Hyperion. Instead why not create a whole NEW show?
I REALLY like that Big Band Beat Show. That would be SO great and FRESH for the Disneyland Resort.
I was not an Aladdin show lover so I am not terribly sad about its removal but I have to admit that I am a bit underwhelmed by the idea of a Toy Story Show.
I really wish they could create something new. Like do a full blown Hunchback production in there. That is something not represented. (You could leave out the dark stuff if its too scary for kids) I have also never seen anything Sleeping Beauty stagewise. We get a lot of Malificent everywhere but not much else besides Aurora in a parade. A Stageshow of Cinderella could be really good and again it is not something I have not seen anywhere.
Just not toy story. (don't get me wrong, I love toy story but its represented PLENTY)

yeah we're all not too happy about this...
i'm really hoping to see aladdin again before it goes away. and i really want my friends and bf to see it for the first time before it goes
