    Frontierland Steak Restaurant Idea

I was thinking about the current dining options in Frontierland and latley, theres a reason why most options been lacking in value. For one, the Riverbelle Terraces sandwiches are too expensive IMO, the BBQ option is too expensive too and it's portions are designed for more than 2 people. The Golden Horeshoe, Stage Door and Rancho are the only good ones worth the money IMO.

So I was thinking of a Steakhouse Idea that would serve steak in the park as well as prime rib and all that.

The only problem though is to where to put it. Although the idea does have potential to replace the struggling BBQ Restaurant at BTR, I would rather have it at another spot in Frontierland.

    Would this work?

Yes it would work. They have a lot of unused land in Frontierland; it is located between Big Thunder Trail and the ROA. There is a huge berm dividing them. You could cut into half of the berm and still have the separation of BTT and the ROA. But I think that Ruth's Chris should run the restaurant. It will be pricey just like the Blue Bayou but it will be worth it. Have you ever had any of their stakes? MMMMMM they are sooooooooo good they melt in your mouth. Just a bit of frontier themeing and you are all set.

    Ruth's Chris? I haven't heard of it.

But yeah, I was thinking the price range would be similar to BB.

Ruth's Chris Steak House: Best Prime Steak Restaurant

So so so so so good!!!!! They have restaurants all over the place even international. You should give 'em a try but bring a wad of cash they's expensive, but well worth it.

ehh... I don't think Ruth's Chris would be a good choice. I mean, the food isn't that good compared to what you pay for and the service was pretty bad on my visit.

I think a steakhouse would work well in Critter Country, under the Hungry Bear along the calm river's edge where you can watch Canoes and river boats pass by as you enjoy a nice meal.

I chuckled a little to myself because in the first paragraph you say they park has been lacking in value and that even sandwiches are too expensive. That and the servings are enough for two. You then suggest a steakhouse/prime rib location which would be a lot more expensive than a sandwich with the way Disney runs things.

But, I do think you are right. Last night I was craving a steak and it appeared that no place in the park sold it so I settled for the new york strip at Storytellers and let me tell you, it left a lot to be desired! I know Steakhouse 55 would have been the best option, I have no idea why I didn't think about it. Then again, I would have felt very under dressed. I always feel like that when I walk into fancy restaurants.

I have never been to Ruth's Chris but I have heard it is good. I'm more of a Chris and Pitt's type of girl so if they put a Chris and Pitt's inside the park I would be happy.

It's worth a shot. I saw that there is a location down Harbor Blvd. Just down the street from DL!

I was also thinking of Sizzlers too. I love the cheese bread! AlthougI saw that Sizzler is Australian Based but that can be overlooked.

Also thinking about Outback Steak House but that might not roll well.

Riverbelle terrace IS probably my least favorite place to eat in the entire park. I'll give you that much.

It used to be one of my favorite palces until they changed the menu options and prices. I used to enjoy Tom's Turkey Sandwiches

Yes this is the one I go to. The only thing that sucks is the parking. They have like 25 spaces and like 50 valet spots so guess what you have to valet.

Does anyone know if Steakhouse 55 is run by Disney? If they do run it then you could just make a stand alone table service restaurant and all the food being prepared by the Steakhouse 55 peeps.

They don't need to go all the way to Steakhouse 55 when they have a kitchen that serves perfectly well cooked steaks for Club 33.

Good steaks would be great for Frontierland...cattle ranching was a pretty big deal in the old west!

It could be themed to the Harvey Houses, the first chain restaurant, which was influential in bringing a bit of civilization to the old west:

Fred Harvey Company - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And, incidentally, was the inspiration for an old Judy Garland movie:

    The Harvey Girls (1946)

I'd say put it near Big Thunder (in place of or near to the ranch), since the originals were always near train stations.
