Big Thunder Ranch

Just an informal poll, but what are everyone's thoughts on what SHOULD happen in this area?

It would be fantastic if WDI would look at somehow putting the Western River Expedition over here.

Don't ask me how, but it would have to involve closing the Big Thunder trail for a while, then re-opening it as a walkthrough type passge themed as a cave that might give you peeks at the ride.

This might also involve some tweaking with BTMR as they incorporate Western River Expedition over there.

Woody be damned!

Amen to that! I'm just worried it will be something with Woody. Not cool.

I really like the Western River Expedition idea.

But maybe they could have move of a western town back there. Or maybe have fort wilderness move from tom's island.

If you ever get the chance try to find some info on Jim Hill's series about the Wesetern River Expedition. Big Thunder Mountain actually evolved from his original idea, that was to have been two attractions, BTMRR and WRE. The river ride would have been similar to POTC, but with an amazing Old West story and theme.

Big idea..again.

I propose updating an old idea...Explore...Discovery Gay Bay.

It's a gay version of a 1890's Barbary Coast (San Francisco right?) Jules Verne inspired area of the park. After all Nemo lived alone and was a wiz at decorating his own sub with fine art. Kind of an extreme makeover trading spaces Sub Attraction. Far fetched?...Think about it, a sub with only a bunch of Sailors trolling the seas while the Captain plays the organ? Straight? ...Yeah right. Nothing sexual here in this area to offend, just exquisite colors, red velvet drapes and lots of singing sailors. That soft kind of gay Disney inference (like Buddy Hackett in the Love Bug, Baloo in drag). A big audience for this exists. Think lots of glitzy gold rivets everywhere. I'm not gay, but I'd show up for it.

Ok...Maybe the BBQ is a better idea..

Much better. I don't think they should cater to any sexual preference, strait or gay.

It should be something completely different from "western". Maybe an Asian inspired land, "the Far East"...with a Mulan dark ride and a great resturaunt.

Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
Marge: Pink.
Homer: D'oh!

Maybe mentioning about the Far East influence on western development.
