I am still pretty bummed that you will no longer be able to see the Jungle Cruise from the Indy line. That was always fun and the skippers had some sayings specifically for the people exiting or waiting in line for the ride. Too bad.
What, are they building a wall or something?
"I could never convince the financiers that Disneyland was feasible because dreams offer too little collateral"
My wife is pretty disapointed that it is going to be closed when were are there in early April. She has only been to DL a few times and has never been on the Cruise. Seems that every time she has been to the park it has been closed for some reason. She was looking forward to riding it more than any other ride. We live in Reno and can only get to DL once every two years or so.
I understand they are adding a "rain forest" area to the ride, right out of the docks, where IJatTotFE area is. Also, that they are really doing a number on the plants so that the plant life is consistent with the supposed geography of the various scenes.
That already is suppose to be a rainforest but the misters are rarely ever on.
I have no problem with the Indy/Jungle Cruise connection. This change might be the first "negative" change for me to come out of all these 50th rehabs and upgrades. of course, nothing is final. So I am not gonna complain now.
they're possibly getting a gold boat. the rumor is that original attractions may be getting golden ride vehicles, jungle being a boat. hence the new gold paint going up on the mark twain right now. but don't get too excited to ride in the golden jungle boat. the main lead on the attraction hates the idea and will likely park it either out of view or on the catwalk so it can be seen but not used
I don't think so...no lead on an attraction is going to be able to decide not to send a golden boat out as part of the biggest celebration in Disney history. I'm sorry, but CM Matt is not about to allow that--he's not getting all this money out to make the 50th so amazing for someone to decide to be a pain. If the lead decides to try something, I am certain it will be VERY quickly taken care of.

Yeah, lets see how long he lasts when he tries to do that. Even if he doesn't like it, it certainly won't be his decision that is the final say on what happens with that boat. I think it's pretty arrogant of that lead to do that anyway, considering this is supposed to be for the park guests.
