Re: New AA show for Condor Flats (with LOTS of "concept art"!)

I think that the first option would be perfectly acceptable, the second would add a layer of theme but also increase down time probably and expense but not by much. Since this would really appeal to APs and hardcores maybe the second option would be better situated as these are the people to notice things like this.
I suggest leaving the "reunion" date open ended though just to avoid any more complications and only suggest a time period with the clothing.

This is probably the furry artist in me talking, but I was wondering what you'd think about doing the show with animal characters, a la America Sings, which is what I assume the title was referencing. It would spoil the realism, but on the other hand...animal characters are fun .

Anyway, I love swing music, so this could be something I would go to

I'm gonna go ahead and respond to this one for AGD.
Using animals really wouldn't make sense in a ww2 environment and violate just about every theme he's created.
It would lose it's intrigue of seeing famous icons after their death and become nonsensical, why are animals playing jazz?
Thanks for the idea but it really wouldn't work.

Yeah, I doubt it would be very difficult to change the dresses on a half-dozen AAs (assuming it's girls-only). I have no idea how difficult it would be to change the hairstyle, though (if we wanted to be that thorough...)--how is the hair usually done on AAs?

Since this would really appeal to APs and hardcores maybe the second option would be better situated as these are the people to notice things like this.
Yes, and in general I like to design to the level of "people to notice things like this" (or, as they are also known, MiceChatters!). It's more challenging but also more rewarding.

Another possibility to throw out there, perhaps people might just find it more appealing to see new costumes, etc. to give the holiday show it's own identity and to encourage people to want to watch both versions & see something different. What do you think?

Does that mean the costumes for the men should be changed too? That's a lot more prep time for a change that's a lot more subtle...don't know if it would be worth it. (Maybe just give them Holiday bowties and call it a day!)

I suggest leaving the "reunion" date open ended though just to avoid any more complications and only suggest a time period with the clothing.
Yes, this is exactly how I see this happening. When I have time I'll do a rendering...

Well said, except for that one little detail above...note the very feminine Lauren Bacall avatar--it's a hint!

Re: New AA show for Condor Flats (with LOTS of "concept art"!)

I was in the park two days ago and I heard Bing Crosby singing "San Fernando Valley" in Sunshine Plaza!!!

I knew it would be a perfect musical selection for DCA!!

(I guess if I somehow magically became a professional Imagineer and this ever got built, they'd have to remove the song from the Plaza loop...)
