Pirates of the Caribbean at Michael Jackson's Encino Home??

Years ago back in Michael Jackson's 1980's heyday and before he purchased Neverland - there was several stories circulating around that he built a replica of Pirates of the Caribbean in his parents Encino Home.

Does anyone know anything more about this? Are there any pictures and just to what level did this "replica" go?

I remember reading that he had a Mr. Toad's Wild Ride built for him by Disney, but I don't know if that was supposed to have been at the Encino home or his Neverland ranch. I don't know if it was true or not. I think the same article I read also said he wanted his own Pirates of the Caribbean built, but that Disney turned him down on that one. I have no documentation of any of this, just a distant memory.

I searched Michael Jackson possessing Disney related rides on google multiple ways, and did not find anything. That's weird because I think every person has said atleast once in there life if they won the lottery a Pirates replica is one of the things they said they'd build, myself included.

I've seen the house before, I don't think it could fit any ride inside it... but maybe there was something beyond where I could see.

If I was super rich, I don't think I'd ever want to own anything other than a standard roller coaster. Something like PoTC takes way too much maintenance.

If I was super rich I would open my own theme park, Like For reals a full theme park for everyone. I have had plans for one for years! It would be all old west themed with themed rides and atractions so that you never feel that the ride is out of place nor would you ever really see them much, Kinda like a cross between Knott's berry farms feel with disneylands level of theme, Its an awesome idea.

There's no way that they could fit something that massive of a scale in the Encino home. I drive by it a lot (my favorite Chipotle is right down the street) and its way too small. Who knows what he all had in Neverland though. I have several coworkers that have been there and they said in was insane. One was having breakfast with him and he looked out the window and a Elephant walked by... True story!

Maybe he had something, but not on the full scale of Disneyland. Anyone ever hear of Kim Pederson? He built his own mini version of a monorail in his back yard.

The was something a few months ago about a Peter Pan themed park for Jackson (that looked similar to Disneyland) complete with concept art from the 1990s but it never came to be. Click for here for the full story with amazing concept art.

That's actually kind of glorious. Makes me wish they'd design a theme park for every Disney feature, if only for fun

I don't remember hearing about the Mr Toad ride at Neverland. The articles around here (Neverland is about 40 minutes away) always described the zoo animals and the train and more carnival-like rides, like a ferris wheel and merry-go-round. I had heard, too, that Disney said No to his own Pirate ride.

    Would have been cool, though
