Jewel of Orleans Announces actual closing date

I spoke to one of the owners of Jewel of Orleans this afternoon, and Disney has let them know their closing date.

Easter Sunday, April 4th will be the final day of business. Until then, it is business as usual. I was there last week and they had some gorgeous stuff!

Dianne's Estate Jewellery will still have their two locations in Northern California. They also have a fan page on Facebook.

Be sure to stop by in the next few weeks and visit.

I did ask her if she knew what was going in the space after they close and she didn't know.
One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching.

I just saw that on Facebook. Apparently it's a couple of weeks earlier than they had anticipated.

I hope the space goes for something good, but I'm not hopeful.

what they should do with the jewel of orleans space is since mascarade de orleans is now a pin trading shop, move that operation into the jewel of orleans space and reopen mascarade de orleans the way it was as a costume/mask/ unique souvenir shop.

    or.......
the retheming of la mascarade, plus a minieatery based upon club 33. essentially making some of the food items on club 33's menu available to non club 33 members replacing jewel of orleans when it closes?

The Jewel of Orleans location used to sell perfume, hence the perfume bottle shaped sign.

Maybe it will reopen as another jewelry store.

second your idea and take it one step further: one side perfume, the other side jewelry

Which store is this? The one that is to the right, when you get off Pirates? With the Pirate shirts and next to that restaurant?

This news makes me so sad! My husband and I make a point to stop in whenever we visit DL. Maybe since we're going to Disneyland on March 15th for my b-day I can convince him to buy me a little something lol

on all of my visits to disneyland I wanted to make a purchase at the jewel of orleans shop but (insert eerie suspense music here) the price tags always stopped me.

granted there is/was a payment plan, but I wasnt sure if you had to be present at the resort when a payment was made.

Blue Bayou (the restaurant I think your are questioning) is to the left once you get out of POTC exit. The shop is a little further down from BB and across the way. Jewel of Orleans

to your right is Pieces of Eight
and across from that is Cafe Orleans
or next to the POTC queue line is the Royal Street Veranda (next to Le Bat en Rouge)

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

I wish they would bring back the One of A Kind shop. But, alas, this space will probably just end up hawking Jack Skellington hoodies.

The days of merch being specific to one store/ one land only are gone.
If they could sell a hoodie and a churro at the same time, they would.
