Marvel Superstore @ Downtown Disney? Excelsior!

Now that Disney owns Marvel, I'm just dying for them to do something with it. Not in Disneyland... not even in DCA. But Downtown Disney!

That's right, I want a Marvel shopper's paradise. A huge variety of Hasbro's Marvel Universe action figures, the Potato Heads (Tony Starch), statues, busts, T-Shirts, Books, Comics, posters, video games, DVDs, the works.


For so long I've been waiting for something at Downtown Disney besides the LEGO store that is actually COOL. I mean... seriously, who goes to DD to buy soap?

back on topic, i wouldn't mind them having a marvel store. i wouldn't go in as much, but i do think it would be kinda cool

i think this would be a fantastic idea,a marvel shop in downtown disney would be really cool, besides i need some older back issues of some marvel titles anyway, be cool to complete them at disneyland..that would be awesome, plus it would celebrate marvel as a property with out bringing them into DL or DCA..

Yah, the soap store has been there since 2001, called BASIN. It's next to Naples.

"Who Wants To Be A Superhero" was a reality show that was done with the participation of Stan Lee, the man who created Spider-Man, Hulk, X-Men, etc etc. He's basically "Mr. Marvel" and always uses "EXCELSIOR" as a sign off.

i'm a huge Marvel fan.. but would hate to see it IN the parks.. so a DTD store would be great in my book!

i had the pleasure of meeting Stan Lee a few years ago.. he was really old and fragile-looking but i adore him about as much as i do Walt Disney!

I went into that shop with some friends and I am telling you. My hands have never been that soft in my entire life after using that soap stuff.

I would love to see something like this. Outside parts of World of Disney and the Lego Store, now that Dept 33 is gone, there is very little for me to do at DTD. I don't shop in retail stores for soap, sunglasses, beach wear, or most of what they offer there. Universal City Walk has more "Fun Stores" than DTD does. I would love to see a store like the one at Universal that sells comics and related toys and Action Figures as well. The only problem is they are priced like "Tourist Traps" and are sometimes twice the price that is given my the manufacturer. But they are fun to go through and see what the real thing looks like and sometimes they are the only place you will find some of the higher end items unless you buy on-line.

i know i freakin love that show! it's literally the only reality show that our whole family can watch, cause my dad doesn't like any other kind of reality show

But at least with this being a Disney owned store, our discount would apply!


oh and if anyone has pictures of Universal Studios' Marvel Mania store, that would be fun.
