    Locker Sizes

Does anyone know the dimensions of the Super Jumbo lockers? I'll be going tomorrow and will need to leave my small suitcase in the locker. I will be arriving at around 9am but my hotel will absolutely NOT let me check in until 2pm. And I'm flying in from Texas but won't be using a rental car. I appreciate the help!

I have no idea on the lockers but you should ask your hotel if you can leave your luggage with them at the front desk. Most hotels will do that for you. I have stayed at 4 different neighboring hotels and every one has allowed me to leave my luggage with them until check-in time.

    The dimensions are:

    Super Jumbo 18" x 25" x 37" - $15 All Day (Inside picnic area only)

However, like the poster above stated, you should be able to have your hotel hold your bags at the front desk before your scheduled check-in time.

Yeah, I would definitely suggest leaving the bag at the hotel if you can.

A while back DL was having a promotion that if you spent $50 in a store you could get a rolling duffle bag for $15 (or something along those lines). The cashier that handed us ours asked which hotel we were staying at. That confused us, and we replied that we were only there for the day, not staying in a hotel. At that point, she was downright RUDE to us, nearly chewing us out for buying the bag since "you aren't allowed to bring luggage in the park".

I, personally, have noticed that the bag checks are pretty lenient these days, and they let all manner of things through. But since I was "warned", apparently luggage, at least the kind with wheels, isn't supposed to be allowed past the bag check. Thus, if this is in fact the case, you would not be able to store the bag in a locker (since all the lockers are past the screening area).

Sorry, this might be useless info.

^Actually, the picnic area that offers the jumbo lockers is actually OUTSIDE the bag check area.

I apologize, as I could be mistaken, but I double-checked, and the lockers/picnic area is PAST the bag check. You would need to go through the bag check to access them.

They are outside of the main entrance, but past the bag check.

Again, I could be mistaken, but this is what I remember, and it is what the map shows.

Wow, I totally feel like I'm missing something now! How would you access the lockers without going through bag check?

The picnic area is over by the trams. I think it's near Mickey and Friends tram, but having never used it, I could be mistaken.

I don't know any hotel that doesn't have a baggage area where you can store your luggage if you arrive early.
Marriott will let you in early, if there are room available
Disney does it too (early entry -- if rooms are available)

Lol! Yes, I know just where the picnic area is, as well as the lockers that were being discussed. They are by the trams, but from what I understand, in order to access those lockers you must go through the bag check. I thought perhaps I was mistaken, but I checked a map of the park on google (which I posted in an earlier reply) and sure enough, those green awnings are blocking the only visible path to that area.

At this point I'm just confused. If you could access the lockers without going through bag check, and you can access them from the main esplanade side of the bag check (I know this for fact), then couldn't anyone who wanted to avoid the bag check just avoid that route? What is the point of a bag check if there is an easy way to avoid it?

But, I've traversed that area many times, and, as I said, I double checked the layout on a map (which I posted the link to). I still don't see the route people are referring to that would allow people to bypass bag check. Heck, on busy days that could save tons of time.

Anyone care to share? Like I said, I feel I know the area pretty well, so please, be specific.

The picnic area is before the bag check when approaching the esplanade from the West (Downtown Disney and Mickey and Friends Tram drop off side). If you are entering the resort from the Harbor Blvd. (East) side, it is, indeed, beyond the Eastern bag check.

We once entered the resort from the East side with a number of wrapped birthday gifts. (We were attending a birthday party at the Storyteller restaurant. The bag check folks had us stand to the side for a moment, and after a moment of confusion, the lead called an employee to escort us to the Picnic Lockers where we wanted to store the gifts until we were ready to head to the party. Don't know if this is standard operating procedure, but that's how they accommodated us.

So there is, in fact, a way to completely skip bag check if coming from the West side (near the M&F tram stop)? I HATE bag check! I purposely go to Disneyland with nothing but what I can carry in my pockets, and end up waiting for 20 minutes behind families with giant strollers and women with huge handbags that contain more bags for all their stuff...

Sorry, small rant got out of my control.

Basically, people are telling me there is a way to get to those lockers without going through the bag check. I KNOW for certain that you can get from the lockers to the main entrance without going through the check. So by the rules of logic, I assume there is some way to get to the main entrance while bypassing the bag check.

What I'm missing here is, how? Everyone just keeps saying that the lockers are before the bag check. But I do not see the way to get to them that everyone else seems to.

    Re: Locker Sizes

you have to pass through bag check.
I don't go that way much
but I don't see how you can get to the lockers (where the outside bathroom and ATM is) or picnic area w/ out passing security check.
