AWESOME photography, you're really quite good at it! That's probably one of the few times I've seen someone take pictures of the fireworks and they came out as clear as your's did, good job. But having a decent camera helps too, my sister has one like your's, actually she has the xti model but close enough. She loves her camera too.
Anyway, add post more pics, enjoying the trip report and glad you had a great time. Oh and welcome to MiceChat.
Great pictures! Very artistic -- unique angles and views. I especially like how you capture little details of things most people wouldn't think of to photograph, but are just as interesting. Also, I really dig those night shots in the rest of your albums -- the long exposures of streetlights, and the like. I used to do a lot of that kind of experimental stuff, too. And that was back in the day with Kodachrome 64. Yes, I'm old(er). LOL Anyway, keep shooting and thanks for sharing!
Oh. Wow.
Those are some amazingly wonderful pictures!!! Welcome to MiceChat! I hope we get to see a lot more of your photos for many years to come!
Both of those are due to the 50mm f/1.8. You should really recomend it to your sister as it's $100 - CHEAP for a lens. I really like this lens due to the fact it's so wide open it allows for very quick nighttime shots. For the fireworks, I used Av mode locking the lens at the wide-open f/1.8.
Anyway, here's some more pictures I didn't post earlier, of Aladin in DCA:

Yea, I'm experimenting with new hardware. I toy around with stuff so that when I go places like Disneyland the camera & hardware can be an extension of myself, and get better pictures. For example: the roller-coaster was taken without looking through the viewfinder at all. That kind of skill comes from years of shooting & missing![]()
I love your pics. Can't wait to see more.
