    Pirates' Banjo Music

Does anyone know where the new banjo music from the bayou scene of POTC can be found? It has bits of the theme music from the POTC movies woven in, and I am having a hard time tracking it down.

Please PM me if you have any tips.

What? I've never heard this music before! Was it part of the renovation?

Yeah, it was added when they "Jack Sparrowed" the ride. It's very very subtle, and the only reason I noticed it is because I listen to that music on a regular basis so I recognized what had changed.

I like it though and want it!

The last time I went through that scene, I had not heard anything from the POtc Films being played on the banjo.

I'm pretty sure the banjo music has been the same before the 2006 enhancements.

It's very very similar, but they added a couple of short variations to the original banjo music that is distinctly from the movies. You could go through the ride multiple times and miss it because of where the loop was at, but it's in there, trust me.

I seriously doubt that. If this was the case, it would've been noticed 4 years ago.

All I hear is "Oh Susanna" and "Camptown Races" and some other songs that aren't from the films.

I'll ride it again this weekend and make sure. I'm still saying that they didn't modify the banjo music.

Your best bet would be to sit in the blue bayou at one of the waterside tables. That's the only way you'll be sure to hear the loop all the way through.

It's the same banjo music as before, just with a couple of short clips blended in. Similar to what they did with the entire soundtrack to the ride. They didn't change the entire score, but they did add bits from the movie's soundtrack.

Like I said, it's extremely subtle. And the only reason I noticed was because I have listened to the banjo loop on my computer many many times and could tell what was different from the original.

Aside from this argument, I dont think anyone would have a file of it.

So to answer the question, most likley not.

I assumed that since it was the loop currently playing in the ride that someone would have it. I'm still crossing my fingers.

Yeah, if I could have the money to eat there again. I'll just ride the ride over and over again and listen carefully.

Looks like another job for the Disneyland Mythbusters!

I have the old banjo track. The one where he's playing "Oh Susana" I think.

I haven't heard the POTC theme in the banjos. It still is the Battling Banjos theme with a little Oh Susanna thrown in.

The official new POTC ride through music hasn't been released yet. I am hoping it will make the 2010 Official Park Albums.
