I heard a rumor it would be a Tower of Terror like attraction involving a geyser.
The five worst crimes in the world, in no particular order, are genocide, rape, murder, torture, and flash photography on Space Mountain.
humm....its must be like that rumor DCA is getting 2 more roller costers that were going to take over bugsland back in 05!
or is there something to this?

Al Lutz has brought these up in his column recently:
MiceAge.com - A different look at Disney...
3-P: Parading, Parking & Planning - MiceAge.com
Try something like the RoA refurb (new AA river life) and a log flume people eater
Eagerly awaiting DCA to finish the revamp!
Check out my new blog. I am using it as a way to provide Disney NEWS, some rumors, and some commentary. I am also providing Stargate News on the same blog. http://wraithkelso.blogspot.com/

Geyser Mountain was a late 90s concept, which gained a lot momentum in the early Aughts.
Discovery Bay was an early 80s proposal ... that was pushed for a mid 80s opening.
What WILL happen is anyone's guess.
But the "favorites" that often come up by us hardcore fans are:
* Discovery Bay
* Western River Expedition
* Geyser Mountain
.... and there was one rumor a couple years back of a mini land - Toy Story: Woody, Jessy, and other "cowboy" friends - which I hope NEVER happens.
What a lot of people don't realize is Geyser Mountain actually came very close to happening.
Disney was also not counting on adding more to DCA, in it's first few years of operation. Tower of Terror was raced into production ... and Geyser Mountain was let go.
As one person I know of who has contacts from within .. He writes: And Geyser Mountain for DL basically died when ToT opened. It was and is a great concept, but I doubt it will resurface.
Oh ... And I wouldn't look at this future growth with just one new ride. My guess is they are going to try to fit a few in here. Look at the Discovery Bay concept.
Interesting read if people google "geyser mountain" ... you'll see a whole write-up at Jim Hill's site. Gives a good detail description how the ride would have worked. The tribute to aspects to Nature's Wonderland Mine Train .. most specifically the Rainbow Caverns ... was MOST interesting!
So does anyone want to take some educated guesses what they'll do?
Keeping this as grounded to reality as possible ... What are some practical, logical choices?
Western River Expedition:
What are good reasons for it, and against it?
For it - It's Disney's "All time greatest attractions never built." Full of "showmanship" on so many creative levels. It's a people eater, since its' a flat bottom boat ride, ala PotC.
Against it? - Too similar to PotC?? - With it's ride system? Too costly?
Geyser Mountain:
The good for it? The bad against it?
The good - after reading Jim Hill's story .. it seemed to marry new technologies, a brand new story, and old classic elements (Rainbow Caverns) into one giant sized attraction to make new and old Disneyland fans smile.
The bad? Too similar to ToT across the way in DCA, which is what Jim Hill was describing.
Discovery Bay:
What's good about it? What's bad it?
The good - True "Old School" WED .. in all it's rich details. Plenty of new rides to enjoy. Not just one!
The bad? Can't think of any good arguments against it. Anyone?
Red Canyon Ridge Railroad:
http://micechat.com/forums/disneyland-resort/133241-red-canyon-ridge-railroad-attraction-concept.html
The good? Because Walt said there could never be too many railroad attractions.And because it would make "Nautilus" very, very happy.
The bad? If there's no "Rainbow Caverns" remake .. that won't make me very happy.![]()

I hear a rumor that the E-Ticket really won't be an E-Ticket, because Disney doesn't know how to have fun.

There will be a subland called Toy Storyland.
You will start a panic...

Hey, at least you haven't revealed the top secret Hannah Montana replacement for Splash Mountain.
