How long do you have to renew your AP?

    Posting for a friend

How long do you have after your AP expires to send in the renewal form vs. them making you buy a brand spankin' new one?
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

That might be something that you have to call about. I was under the impression that if they don't have it or at least postmarked by that date, it's no good. But I don't know. I don't wait that long!

Re: How long do you have to renew your AP?

The policy is to not allow renewal until 30 days before expiration, and that you are suppose to renew by the expiration date of Deluxe and Premium AP's to get the $20 renewal discount. It is an unofficial policy to allow folks to renew shortly after the expiration date, but if you want the discount, they will backdate the expiration date to match the prior year's date.

For SoCal AP's, you always want a new one.

More info as to which is better, renew or a new AP, check out this thread...

Why is it better to get a new SoCal? Ok, the link answered that question... but then wouldn't you have to buy a ticket and upgrade? Hassle and lines. And you wouldn't get the renewal only design? I mean, if it'll be a few months, ok, but if it's only a few weeks... you're not losing out on that much $$.

She's going to be upgrading from a SoCal to Deluxe. I forgot about that part! But it's going to be a Christmas present. Her AP expires Nov. 27th or so.

She is eligible for a $20 renewal discount if she renews to a Deluxe from a SoCal... guess someone needs to give her an early Christmas gift..
