Night Shots at the Disneyland Resort

Here are a couple of nighttime pics I took when I was at Disneyland last Monday, just as the park was closing. I'd forgotten my tripod, so I had to improvise with my jacket draped over a fencepost or garbage can. With all apologies to DaddyB (my DL night photography idol), I hope you like them:

My pleasure. When my sister and I were kids, our parents would take us to Disneyland every summer. After we wore our parents out, they'd go back to the hotel and we'd stay until closing. Night time always meant a ride on the Matterhorn, the Rocket Jets (the first "New" Tomorrowland - sigh) and the Skyway--all the rides that gave a great view of the park at night. In those days, Tomorrowland rocked! Lots of music, activity and energy. It really was the place to be after dark.

It'd been a long time since I stayed 'til closing. It was so much fun to do it, and very nostalgic. Can't wait to do it again.

Desktop size PLEASE!

I need a good Matterhorn night shot desktop, and there's rarely any good ones out there. That looks great with the light inside the caverns and everything. Just try and work your site credit into a corner like DaddyB does with his desktops.

Those are some great shots, very nice. The matterhorn one reminds me the most of what it feels like to be at DL at night. Thanks for sharing

I really really like that long shot (and long exposure!) of Paradise Pier attractions. The Mark Twain boat is very nicely lit, too. Very natural.
