What's your favorite childhood memory from Disneyland?

I have to say that mine has to be how excited I was when I could finally ride Indiana Jones for the first time since I was tall enough. I was simply overjoyed.

    How about you guys?

Re: What's your favorite childhood memory from Disneyland?

Disneyland was the one place that my parents and I could go where my Dad actually wanted to be part of the family. These times at DL are probably the only happy memories I have of my parents and I enjoying each other.
Taking contributions to get me back to Disneyland!

When I went on the Peter Pan ride the first time I went to Disneyland, I actually thought I was flying, I was so convinced, I still remember how I saw the ride when I was a child.
All this has happened before, and it will all happen again. But this time it happened in London. It happened on a quiet street in Bloomsbury. That corner house over there is the home of the Darling family. And Peter Pan chose this particular house because there were people here who believed in him.

Riding the Bobsleds with my dad. I'm still not sure who enjoyed it more!

watching the fireworks with my parents while sitting on my dads shoulders..and then watching them with my wife in front of the castle..
"Whether in his movies or in his theme parks, Disney always promised a fantasy in which one could exercise the privileges of childhood - privileges he never abandoned in his own life. This will to power took the inanimate and brought it to life, or the illusion of like. In animation one could exercise the power of a god." - Neal Gabler, writer-'Walt Disney, The Triumph of The American Imagination'

My all time favorite childhood memory of going to DL is when I was finally old enough to ride Space moutain for the first time..I remember I felt like an "adult" mind you I was only 5..but still it was fun and scary at the same time..

I personally do not have any memories from my Childhood that are from Disneyland my first trip was when I was 23 but it was the best trip ever!

I remember when we were waiting in line to get into the part at 7:30am and the 8:00am they opened running to the rides and just experiencing the magic for the first time at Disenyland. Was Amazing!

Sometime in the mid 80s, I had on one of those hats that looks like Goofy's head and happened to notice Goofy walking towards a Cast Member door all alone. I ran up to him and in my best Goofy voice went 'Hiya Goofy!'. Goofy looked down at me and returned with a pretty impressive 'Hiya Goofy!' then headed backstage. I had never before (or since) had a costumed character talk to me directly and it totally made my trip.

To this day, I wear that same style goofy hat (Although a newer one of course) whenever I go to the park and I get all kinds of Cast Member jokes because of it. (That hat makes you look a little goofy!, etc...)

Riding the People Mover after walking the park for several hours with my parents. I always found the ride fun for some reason.
