Re: Is DLR still hurting for lack of cast members?

    Heard another new one today...

The suits have been doing OT in the park as Guest Control or a stock person. They have been in the park to cover open shifts and just to have extra help in the stores.

    Why are they really there?

These suits will know how to run things in case there's a strike when the new contract is proposed.

Don't count on that happening. The suits are far more intolerant of mandatory overtime and not being able to call in sick. I can't see the suits ever being able to do a tenth the job the average CM does under pressure.

Nope - ain't gonna happen. They might try it - but it ain't gonna work.

If you really want to help the CMs, write a letter to DL stating that you will not spend any more $$ at DL until the CMs get paid more.

Not to sound rude, but wearing cutie little ribbons as you visit the park and give them your money won't help the CM's one bit. All Disney wants is your $$. They don't care what you think or feel.

You want to get Disney's attendition? Stop giving them your money, tell them you have stopped and why. Until the CM problem starts costing DL some money, nothing is going to change.

Re: Is DLR still hurting for lack of cast members?

    Exactly.

I tell guests this all the time personally.

If a guest complains about something. Please don't tell me personally.

Go to city hall and complain about it.

I don't mean that as a way to simply get the guest out of my hair or something. But I say it because it is the best way to be heard.

    What can I really do?

I've literally told guests, "Disneyland will take something more seriously if YOU go and tell them at City Hall as opposed to me(as a cast member) telling them the exact same thing."

They just simply value the guest response in comparison.

    Bye.
