Space Mountain model now in 50th exhibit

I haven't seen anyone post these pics yet, I thought I would post a few pictures I took today of the Space Mountain model that is currently in the Disneyland: 50 magical years exhibit in the opera house.

    Sign explaining the model

the top of the lift hill

    over view of the track

the main lift hill is in the blue tunnel

I apologize for the flash, can't get a low level shot of the model w/o it showing up

another flash, more of the track

on the right you can see the "launch portal" or the area just after leaving the station

another flash - grey thing in left of pic is loading/unloading area

    view from up top

ride control booth area, notice where the track splits to the right (left in the pic) for the ride and to the left (right in the pic) for those whose audio isn't working.

"meteor shower" in the lift area

view from above looking straight down on model

another view from above the model

looking back down the lift hill

yes, it's been there a month or two. I had pictures in my photo update, and mouseplanet announced it too in their weekly Disneyland update.

But your pictures are quite good and I appreciated the work that went into getting them to come so well. Thanks for posting them!

I figured it's been announced elsewhere and had pics somewhere, but thought I'd add them here since I know it's been months (probably May even) since I've gone in there. I'm sure others haven't gone back since then as well. I was killing time waiting for our showing tonight, so I took the pics

It's nice having the model back. It was in the Disney Gallery quite some years ago.
