what exactly are the changes to ROA going to be?
I'm sure this has been asked, but all I can find are people mentioning the changes, not giving any details as to what they are. I know it was scaled down from original plans due to budget or whatever, ( which I think is crap) but what is going to happen to Fantasmic and the river after the changes are done?
Re: what exactly are the changes to ROA going to be?
I know they are doing some enhancements to Fantasmic, but I have no idea what that's about. As far as the ROA in general, I think they were doing some routine maintenance.
Re: what exactly are the changes to ROA going to be?
New animatronics along the river, F! enhancements (I think), and standard refurb.
Re: what exactly are the changes to ROA going to be?
Oh yeah, forgot about the upgrade on the AA's!
Re: what exactly are the changes to ROA going to be?
The Rivers of America will begin to take on a more distinct theme once the waterways reopen. The river will be broken up into four sections so that landscapping and theme reflect four iconic American rivers: Columbia, Mississippi, Potomac, and Rio Grande.

dmomof4 has always been correct, as she has very close 'sources.' By the way dmom, this months baskets at the hub are magnificent!
Re: what exactly are the changes to ROA going to be?
Someone also mentioned that there will be minor changes to F! when it comes back. As of now, we are not sure what these minor changes are but they'll be noticable in the show (like how the reworked finale caught people off-guard back in 2007). And all of the equipment for the show is now said to have finished their refurbs (including Murphy).
I know you want details on what will be at ROA once the refurb is finished but you're best bet is read Al Lutz's articles as his info always gives us a good idea of what is to come.

This article talks about what to expect.
I expect a lot of influence from Davy Crockett since Fess Parker passed away.

So happy to see this happening! That is why all the landscaping is getting replaced, as Darkbeer said in his column.
The very back with the Mike Fink AA will probably be the Mississippi area, with the area around Big Thunder the Rio Grande area.

I just noticed something about this. The way this is going to turn out, this will be Frontierlands version of a Jungle Cruise river (The river in JC is also divided into various rivers around the world).
But without the humor of JC of course.

"Oh good..I am glad somebody likes them :)" quoted from the hubby himself! :-)
Re: what exactly are the changes to ROA going to be?
I'm looking very much forward to seeing the live animals along the Rivers. :) That is if that rumor comes true. :D

DLFreak71 already answered the question, but I want to add that ROA will remain drained until early May. It should be filled up by May 6 with the attractions reopening at different dates throughout May.
