Mr Toad Turns Up The heat??!!

Was listening to a kid and dad in line for Mr. Toad last night and the kid was trying to explain why on the ride with his mom earlier he didn't see the things the dad was describing... the Devils...the Dragon etc...and the dad couldn't figure out why and told the kid he must have had his eyes closed to which the kid replied "No I didn't!"
We were ahead of them in line...well...as soon as you enter Hades...we found out why the kid didn't see anything! We didn't either! The heat was so high our glasses immediately fogged up completely (as did the kids...we watched as they exited). Man it was HOT! Cool!

My FIL said the same thing- his glasses fogged up at the end. I told him it was too bad, he could have gotten a good look at his future, lol.

    snap.

Yeah, its been getting progressively warmer as time goes on....

The heat does tend to suprise many as they enter. MTWR is one of my favorite dark rides in the park.

The heat is the only part of Toad that I don't like. The Boy and I got stuck right at the entrance to Hell. Luckily there was an open shaft leading to the roof right above us. We still got pretty warm waiting to be escorted off.

I've been stranded in Hell myself. Luckily it wasn't for too long. I suspect it was an ADA shutdown. It did make me wonder what would have happend if the shutdown had been any longer. Shouldn't they walk out the guests from hell first?

Hell's been fogging up my glasses for the past few years. I don't really like the humidity in there, but I like the faint smokey smell!

I like the fact that hell is hotter than the rest of the ride it gives to a suposedly more real feeling, if you believe in that kind of stuff, Not trying to offend any one. Well anyways just take the glasses off and itll be fine.

I went on last night at about 9:45 pm, and it was too hot to BREATHE. I gasped the whole way through and never did I think I'd be happier to walk into the chilly 57 degree California evening!

When we got stuck it was not an ADA shut down. The ride went 101. We were stuck there for over 20 mins. We were in pitch black darkness for 15 of those minutes. There were 2 kids behind us and the little girl (4-5) was totally beginning to freak out. I just kept talking to her to calm her down. Luckily it worked. The Boy thought the whole adventure was great. For the next several trips he would ask the loading cm not to get us stuck in the Hot Place again. When the cm did finally come by to unload us I asked her to get them first, that The Boy and I didn't mind waiting. She refused, said that there operating procedure dictated who was unloaded when. By then the lights were on and the little girl was fine.

That's understandable, but it makes me wonder if why and if other areas of the attraction take precedent over the guests that are in hell.

Well...The Hubby was in front of us and he said he was waiting for a good 10 mins for us to join him at the exit.

That part of the ride has always been disturbing to me. I only ride when someone in my group insists.
