Question The Temperature in Toad's Hell

I have a question. I was in DL over Spring Break and I rode Toad, and I noticed that the Hell sequence was not near as hot as it used to be. I wear glasses, and my glasses ALWAYS fogged up in that scene, to where I couldn't see anything. When I rode it a couple weeks ago, my glasses didn't fog up at all, and I did notice a big change in the temperature.

Was it just that day, or is this a permanent change?

    Most likely just that day..

The CM console has a switch which turns the boiler on and off.. the boiler in the attraction produces the steam in the 'hell scene..'

I have noticed CMs turning the boiler on and off.. which is bad for the show.. Some CMs (newer CMs really, CMs who have been there for years know the drill) have complained about the queue area becoming too hot (steamy)..
but it is part of the attraction.. way for a CM to ruin an excellent ride experience..

We were there 3 weeks ago and hell was like that each of the 3 times I went on it, on different days. There was not steam and barely any heat and most of the effects were not working.

I, for one, would be glad if my glasses didn't steam up! It was really uncomfortable in there last fall when we went. On colder days, I don't mind too much, but I'd rather be able to see!

Let's hope it's just the cast members not wanting to be hot. If it was permanent it just wouldn't have the same effect!

I just think it's hilarious how the ride ends after Mr. Toad goes to hell. He's found guilty in court, get's hit by a train, and the next thing you know is that you're in hell-ride's over. Not a very happy ending. I still love that ride though.

It does? I worked there for nearly two years and no one ever told me about that...

But I don't want to go among MAD people!

I know. I remember one time visiting Disneyland with all of my family, my Aunt comes out with her little girl and says, "Oh, that was great, we went to hell!"

My husband and I always laugh about the end of the ride too!
The last time I went on was at the D23 event and it was pretty hot in there.. although, that could just be cause it was a bit chilly outside.

To this day I've always hated that scene, it's just too creepy and the I hate the steam! I always feel yucky afterwards which is why I try to avoid that ride every time I go(that and the long lines)
