The concept looks quite awesome, because according to what Aznjeff11 said "By treating it as the El Camino Real, this gives guests the oppurtunity to look forward to stops along the ways as "exits" like on the many freeways found throughout California. The introduction of more anchors will create an illusion of a much shorter walk."
I think he was asking what the real El Camino Real is.

It is a highway that travels through California just as the parade route travels through Disney's California. Quite fitting.

I reaaalllly hope they go through with this idea. It sounds like a perfect way to tie all of the lands together, and to address one of DCA's biggest problems - the unthemed thoroughfare through the park.

Call me crazy, but it's these little touches that strengthen the park's theme that get me the most excited. That's why I may be more excited for Buena Vista Street than with the Little Mermaid!

I couldn't agree more. Native Californians, at least those living on the coast from Sonoma south to the border, grew up with the "Kings Highway". Very much a part of our history. A nice tie to the state's history. A nicer tie might be to acknowledge the many Native Americans who lived on this land long before the Spanish arrived.

Thanks for the link. That seems really cool and a great concept to bring in the California part of the park. I wonder what the parade will be called? as for BVS where is the proposed statue of kid images of Walt and Mickey going to go?

    Hope I was helpful!
