Which fantasmic showing should I try to get the dessert package for?
Tomorrow I start my redialing efforts to get a fantasmic dessert package, and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or advice on which show I should go for - first or second? or in other words, what are the pros and cons for watching at each show?

If you go for the second show you can get good seats for the fireworks and then head to the reserved seats when they are done. Be sure to ask for Gallery seating and good luck!

The firworks start soon after the first show so you may not get a good look at them if you do the 9pm Fantasmic.

We did the second show last time. Like the others have said, we were able to watch the fireworks from a good location and then head over to Fantasmic. The only drawbacks to this plan are...
1) making your way through the crowds from the hub to the Fantasmic area can be a real nightmare.
2) Fantasmic seems a little less magical after seeing the fireworks.

BUT if you do the 9 pm Fantasmic! you can watch the fireworks from the Balcony, and we will refill your drinks between the shows!

I thought the balcony and riverfront special seating areas were supposed to be bad locations to watch the fireworks from? Would it not be better to watch the fireworks somewhere on the adventureland entrance area and then go to the second show?

I always like the first show, this is just my opinion...and i agree with rihard, the first one always seems more "magical" due to the fireworks

for the second show of fantasmic, you have plenty of time to get a spot in the hub to watch the fireworks. When the fireworks are over, you can make your way to New Orleans square to watch the second show of fantasmic. The fireworks go off around 9:25 and the second shoing of Fantasmic starts at 10:30.
This is what I was suggesting early, sorry if I wasn't very clear.

does anybody have info on how to reserve seating for the desert package?? I watched it in the balcony and in the ground seats with my friends but thier mother did all of the arranging and i cant get ahold of them anylonger. i would highly appriciate it if somebody gave me some info. Thanks!!!

NO, you do not call Disney Dining, you call (714) 781-4000. It's arrenged through Guest Relations. thx! :)

Thanks one more question how much does it cost??? I am a poor college student so i can afford it its a present for my mom for Xmas when i go home.

If i remember correctly it costs an arm and a leg or maybe that was due to the exchange rate to the Aussie dollar .... but it is worth it !

I guess we're both wrong. Here is a quote from the Disneyland.com website about Fantasmic! viewing from the Disney Gallery:
